This is strange, looking at the system log in hackintool today, the event has changed but the time (and length) of that occurrence is exactly the same! The stall happens 20s in and lasts for 23s.....

Ran a few tests using OC 0.6.1 RELEASE and the averages are follows:
From cold boot to Picker Menu (I've got the splash screen disabled) : 20s
From OC to Login: 44s
From Login to Desktop: <15s
According the the logs the main culprit appears to be IONVMeFamily (23s). I'm using a 1tb...

Yeah, got a Twin X Quad and a silver face Apollo with the TB3 card in it. I did think of that but the stalls happen regardless of whether they’re switched on or not.

Mines not that great, there’s a couple of long stall points that are proving a real headache to identify.
