    Asus X299 - Support

An alternative (workaround) to this is Clover limit port patch plus USBInjectall KEXT...

    Asus X299 - Support

I don't use Big Sur but it works fine with Catalina and Clover.

    Asus X299 - Support

I'm using it with Mojave and Clover (thunderbolt working). so far so good. No particular changes.

    Asus X299 - Support

@thenightflyer I have used both and I can confirm rev. 2 definitely works (High Sierra and Mojave).

    Asus X299 - Support

Maybe changing some parameter under /ACPI/DSDT in Clover Configurator? Just my two cents...

    Asus X299 - Support

@pieropontra I see...anyway getting one of these i9 9xxx cpus is quite risky without a refund option; on the other hand prices are getting lower day by day and there are a few successful builds (on this forum and on the other one) with 9800x, 9940x and 9980xe but apparently the final outcome is...

    Asus X299 - Support

Piero, what did you buy? It seems some kind of a lottery for now...I' d like to buy one too for my 7900x max load temperature but it is gamble...

    Asus X299 - Support

@Florin9doi Interesting...So the 10 core 9820x would share the same issue... What about the 12 core 9920x? could it be connected to some defective 9960x?

    Asus X299 - Support

Strange. I thought they worked except for 9820x and 9920x (not sure about 9960xe). Anyway, some say it should be something related to the the CPU microcode as shown in the BIOS (this is the culprit).

    Asus X299 - Support

As far as I know, 9800x, 9900x, 9940x and 9980xe are generally 'hackintoshable' and working with Mac Os Mojave (I do not know about HS).

[SUCCESS] Intel Core i9 7920X, Gigabyte X299 Aorus Ultra Gaming, GTX 1080 Samsung 960 EVO NVMe

@shyun514 Read this thread and KGP's ones for HS or Mojave; if you follow their instructions, with some minor tweaks, you will succeed.

[In progress] SSDT for Thunderbolt 3 Hotplug

In case try with the TH internal cable plugged first; you will remove it later. You have already activated your card on Windows, haven't you?
