Use this guide/thread for Clover:
Hmm, that's odd...it should be as easy as just replacing the old one with the new version. Maybe with OC there is something else needed. Maybe @Sniki can chime...
Finally, after months of putting it off, I upgraded the SSDT-KBD and added the necessary patches in the config.plist to allow ThinkpadAssistant to function on my legacy install of Mojave / Clover. It's working great!
I do still plan to one day move to OC, but since I don't plan on upgrading...
1. iterm? Make sure you're using Console. Also, ensure that you have the full repository downloaded.
2. I had this issue on my Mojave/Clover install due to an issue with WhateverGreen. Make sure you're on the latest version (1.4.1).
You are correct - I still have this problem on this laptop. Yes, I'm still on Clover and Mojave for now. I figured this was a hardware limitation of the laptop and nothing we could solve with software, since I experience similar connection issues even on Windows 10.
If you manage to solve...
@Sniki FYI, it appears a new version of the SD card reader driver has been released. I wonder if this will improve stability for our machines.
"Passes your stability certification exam":lol::lol:
Yes I know it's a fairly straightforward process (thanks to your awesome guide!!). I will probably take 2 different USB sticks, one to put my existing Clover installation on (as a backup) and another to put the new OC configuration on...
@Sniki do you know if the USB power issue we were experiencing with the old configuration (on Mojave) was ever resolved in Catalina and/or with OC? If you recall, there was an issue powering certain devices (iPads, newer iPhones, etc.). I can't remember if we were ever able to determine if...
It looks like our machine just made the cut for macOS 11 (Big Sur), at least based on the compatibility that was posted yesterday. Late 2013 should be supported, and our SMBIOS (MacbookPro11,1) is a Late 2013 model. The biggest concern is whether or not the CPU/GPU (Haswell, HD4400) is...
I'm still using this audio solution (from the old setup) on Mojave, and while it's not very "clean," it does work. So I'd be on board with that if we aren't able to come up with a more elegant solution.
Is this after a clean install? The tone to me would indicate that macOS is displaying some sort of alert to you right before the system shuts down. I wonder if something is running the background right before restart/shutdown that is causing that tone to play.
Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for the updates. It's hard for me to want to change, since the Clover setup is really stable and solid. But OC is the future so I'd like to check it out sooner than later.
"not Sniki related"
Is that only on the dock, or when plugged directly into the device?
Also, is the Keyboard SSDT updated and fully working with ThinkpadAssistant? I'm preparing to migrate over from Clover soon (on my existing Mojave install).
