I am a bit hesitant to install the update as my Mavericks install went so smoothly, I am not sure if I need to bother.
If I were to go ahead, the article says "Storage drivers updated - SSD TRIM patch will not work with 10.9.3 patch. Fix will be available in the next MultiBeast."
(I assume it...
Hi, I have just bought 6360b and have been into the BIOS to check the settings. I see it has UEFI support. Is this full UEFI or some sort of 'pseudo' support? Should I enable it before installing?
NB I was expecting that Wifi wouldn't work, so I have ordered a reclaimed Broadcom card. Where...
For those that are interested, you will need to list your partition information using Terminal;
diskutil list
I have listed mine as an example;
diskutil list
/dev/disk0
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: GUID_partition_scheme...
Can all those with successful builds using onboard graphics tell me what they have set their UEFI settings to?
The highest I can set Peripherals-Internal Graphics Memory Size to is 224M, any higher and I get a screen full of artefacts.
I am wondering if this is the cause of my stability problems...

I am really appreciate you sticking with me on this and apologies for taking up your time.
Please find attached my native DSDT
***EDIT***Note - I have booted with a DSDT and simply ran DSDT Editor, I assume this is OK.
I have re-attached a new .dsl which was created after removing DSDT...

You have achieved what is outsmarting me.
I too have two SSDs;
120GB - 80GB Widows 7, 30GB Ubuntu ---MBR
60GB - 40GB OSX ML, 15GB Free ---GPT
The OSs were installed by having the 'other disk' disconnected, so the 120Gb is MBR and the 60GB is GTP.
{If anybody is interested...

Thank you very much for a really quick reply (wasn't expecting that and didn't check till late!).
It is really great to get quick authoritative answers.
For the benefit of others, can you say if the supplied patch is for all UEFI AMI dsdts, all Gigabyte/AMI or just Z68?
If this is...
The UserDSDT option in MultiBeast 5.0.2 is "UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation"
I have attempted to create a DSDT and failed.
I'm not sure if "no patches" also includes the omission of the 'board specific patch' from olarila.com - would you mind confirming?
I have attempted with and without...
Hi Toleda
Thanks for the reply and explanation.
Could you answer one more thing before I go down the dsdt route?
I have a pretty good system without a modified dsdt, ie full HD, sleep working etc.
If I create a dsdt, can I assume I will not have to add any patches for it to work in the same...
I had the thought to completely obliterated my hard drive, using Ubuntu 'parted' to completely remove all partitions including the boot partition. The reason for this is that nobody really explains what is left behind when you remove kexts, or what chimera uses to boot - ie reinstalling may...
Sorry for my ignorance, but I thought the point of going to UEFI was that we don't have to create a dsdt?
Are you saying that the only way to have HDMI Audio is to go through this whole process as if we still had BIOS?
There are many people who have announced that they have a fully working UEFI...
I have pretty much the same problems with my GA-Z68AP-D3. Lion install was fairly quick and easy although I never got sound through HDMI. My first problem with Mountain Lion was the keyboard/mouse not responding although the mouse pointer moved and keystrokes were stored for when 'they came to...
Given up on BIOS, going to UEFI
I have installed UEFI, but I am still having the same problems.
I will continue my saga within the following post as it is more relevant

thank you so much for replying, and so quickly.
I'm away for a few days and really keen to get back to try your suggestions.
I would very much appreciate you checking the thread in a week or so.
For information, I have a 3770K, trying to use the onboard graphics which I assume...
I don't believe it...
I took the plunge as well, but...
my installation experience so far as been VERY similar to that with BIOS, have have installed 3 times since changing to UEFI :crazy:
My immediate problem was/has been keyboard/mouse not responsive for several minutes unless I choose -f...
