This is exactly what I need for my machine!
My specs are:
X79-UD3
Intel Core i7 4820K 4.5GHz
16GB DDR3 1600MHz
AMD R9 290
256GB Samsung 840 Evo
1TB Seagate ST1000M003
Seasonic M12II 750W 80+ Bronze fully modular
Cooltek UMX2 case (kinda has the old Mac pro style.)
Looking forward to using...

I'll check some local stores for extensions.

Still new to the OSX environment :P
I was thinking on making a second one. :D

And heck maybe another one in blue with either a cheap i3 and using the onchip graphics or a Matrox card. Anybody know what...
Hehe knew I wasn't the only one that wanted to see it in black and red!
My build
Yours looks sweet :) I was thinking of going gloss on the handles and side panels but decided to stick with mat black and glossy red.
Basically, the optical drive bay comes right out the front with 2 screws. Cut off the WHOLE 3,5" floppy part and put the optical bay back in place, other than that take off the back I/O plate, drill out the standoffs since they're stuck in there and then drill new holes for normal M-ATX boards...
