the zenbook is a great laptop, but why would you buy something that looks like a macbook and cost as much as a macbook and then try to make it work like a macbook?

I wonder if I can safely assume acceleration is working if HD4000 is recognized in "About this Mac" or is there another test to run?
Removing CpuNullPowerManagement tool care of both the problem with automatic restarting at shutdown and inability to wake after sleep. only problem seems to be when selecting sleep, it wakes up right away, and then I have to select sleep agian, and then it works.
Actually after a few boots, I got a different problem - it booted in a lower resolution but with the 1920x1080 sized desktop, so only a 1/4 of the desktop is visable. Option 1 distorted the mouse pointer, but option 2 worked in conjunction with setting the resolution in .plist
ig-platform-id: 01620005 did it it for me. Now I can boot without having to unplug the and re-plug the monitor. MB is GA-Z77X-UD5H if that helps anyone.

OK, after install and a few re-install, I am finally somehow up and running. I hope my findings can help people.

1) I had an SSD and 2 HDs in raid (configured in the bios) which prevented the ML installer to see any of the disks. I 'broke' the raid and i could...
For me the screen is scrambled when I boot, but I can jut unplug HDMI and plug it back in and it works fine. same for DVI, so I think your situation is not HDMI vs DVI, but rather the fact the the unplug is resetting something.
Getting ready to do the first attempt on installing ML on the above configuration - it is currently is running windows 7. Based on what I have read the instructions seems to be pretty straight forward, however I am a little uncertain if I should be setting the System identity manually or if ML...
