Which Bluetooth Adapter Should I Get?

As far as I know, you won't be able to use a Bluetooth keyboard for Chimera or even access the BIOS. This is because the bluetooth pairing happens after Mac OS X loads up. Also, According to the July 2014 CustoMac guide, the GMYLE Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter wakes up from sleep, and the IOGear...

Mavericks on AsRock z77 Pro 3

Yayy I feel so loved lol  But I believed I downgraded from 2.10 to the patched 1.90 but I'm honestly not too sure. I'll check my BIOS version to see if I downgraded. EDIT: Apparently I have 2.10, so I probably did the patching myself back in the ML days. If everything is working for you...

To build or not to build a hackintosh...

The good thing is that GTX 6xx and 7xx is that they are natively supported by OS X. So you're fine there. If you're going to be using a 1080p screen or higher. Personally, I would go with a higher wattage PSU just in case but guess other members could disagree :P Anyways since khaurum was...

To build or not to build a hackintosh...

My Hackintosh has been great to me, it cost me around $900 to build, and boy I love it :headbang: Maintenance isn't much different than Windows other than reinstalling the sound driver with every OS X update but you can easily solve that with a USB sound card. Everything for me is working just...

Inserting USB device cause Mavericks 10.9.1 to Freeze

+1 Almost the same thing has been happening to me except it only happens if I plug in USB storage devices (like my Galaxy), it's been happening to me ever since the 10.9.1 update :banghead:

Mavericks on AsRock z77 Pro 3

Haha, no problem :headbang: When I had that issue, it was a pain in the ass to figure out what it was :banghead: But I can almost guarantee that your system will be stable since mine has been so good to me :D Have you tested out sleep mode yet? Because mine works perfectly.

Mavericks on AsRock z77 Pro 3

Back in the Mountain Lion days, I used a DSDT, but once I clean installed to Mavericks, I didn't install a DSDT.. Simply because I was too lazy to do the whole process  but even without the DSDT, everything still works fine, even sleep mode. The only power management I have is...

Mavericks on AsRock z77 Pro 3

By any chance, have you tried booting from the integrated HD4000 graphics with the graphics card removed?

Mavericks on AsRock z77 Pro 3

When I finished installing Mavericks, I think everything almost everything worked out of the box. I needed the sound driver (ALC892), EasyBeast, RealtekRTL81xx v0.0.90, USB 3.0, 3rd Party SATA. I think that's all I needed. You should try a fresh reinstall and try booting in verbose mode.

Mavericks on AsRock z77 Pro 3

My specs.. Core i5 3570k Asrock Z77 Pro3 (#TeamAsrock ^.^) GTX 660 SC 8GB of ram SMBIOS- iMac 14,2 Now that we got that out of the way, I've got Mavericks running buttery smooth on my rig, I just updated to 10.9.1, it's all good , try booting in just verbose mode and see where it...

Update Your OS X Mountain Lion App to 10.8.5

Update installed, not butter smooth but it's expected. For some reason it wouldn't boot after installing 10.8.5 and it would hang on Bluetooth controller time out or something like that. It turns out it was the AppleHDA kext going crazy. Not a big deal, I just booted into Windows and deleted the...
