Okey. My fault. It seems that the included cable with my MacBook Air doesn't comply with target disk mode, only USB 2.0. That was what actually was happening. Might have to wait on that till I buy one. Anyway, big thanks for the help and I'll keep you posted!

Btw I activated it via using the SSDT in the Z390 ITX forum, which also uses a jhl6240. Not sure if I'll have to change something else apart from what you just mentioned.

I'm actually using the recommended one. Unfortunately its the kaby lake hd 0x16590000 one. I have a thunderbolt bus activating ssdt. I have the one port jhl6240, so that might be one of the issues. Nonetheless I would love to know how to proceed on that.

Yes! However Thunderbolt screen shows no drivers loaded. In my work MacBook Air it shows the ports and the dock there. I assume that is correct due to how things are handled in SSDT. I haven't been able to connect my DP monitor though. It seems light up but it goes black again saying there's no...

Here you are @CaseySJ Ioreg without any TB ssdt. TB Device appears as RP09.

Hey guys! Thank you for this amazing guide. I'm contemplating if it would be possible to create a custom SDDT for devices that have an alpine ridge controller JHL6240 but just with one tb3 port. Could that be achieved? I have no idea since I haven't seen any macs with just one TB3 port.
