They will ask for your name, call back number, and Apple ID. Then just tell them iMessage won't activate and told you to call support with a code, tell them you have the code. That should do it.
As for fixing FaceTime, it should fix that as well. You do need a board serial number, the Probook...

Go to the link and read Step-8: Contacting Apple to remove iMessage Lock-out for tips on contacting Apple. Don't bother trying to add your device to your support profile without a genuine serial number.
I've called...
I just read a post about needing a genuine MLB & ROM as far back as early September, not sure how long it's been since it's had to be genuine. However, I just did my Clover Mavericks install back on October 1st, and did not have to do anything with MLB & ROM, just regular fresh install...
Ah so they've changed security yet again? Apple sure is being a PITA about iMessage. My old Chameleon install of Mavericks iMessage quit working, so I updated to Clover, got that working, and now with Yosemite Clover install, they've killed it again.
I don't have a Mac (only an iPhone and Apple...
Thanks for the tip. I saw that before but didn't know if we Probook/PBI users needed it.
I got it installed, and now have MLB & ROM values!
Unfortunately now instead of "Can't activate at this time. Try again later." I get "Can't login. Please check network connection." I've tried rebooting a...
I can't get iMessage to work. I updated to Yosemite from a working Mavericks install with Clover 2932. As per the upgrade guide, I ran PBI CE before upgrading but stupidly updated the config.plist file in the process. I tried reverting back to Mavericks via Time Machine, but since I'm on Clover...
Dual boot Mavericks 10.9.3 + Windows 8.1 on same 240GB SSD, been working fine for months. Decided I didn't want to dual boot anymore, so I went into Disk Utility and deleted the Windows 8.1 partition. I then tried to resize the partition to get my full SSD back to Mavericks, but it failed with...
Well I was finally able to get it back going again. I just got back on it today, been sick with the flu for the past week.
Thanks again for the help Rehabman!
Well, the hardware installation went just fine, easier than expected. Hardest part was the stupid bezel and hinge covers.
I'm having problems booting OS X (Windows 8 boots and runs fine). Here's what I did:
Delete DSDT.aml from /Extra folder
Reboot to get native DSDT
Ran Probook Installer and...
I was hoping "THE MAN" would be able to shed some light on this to avoid some aggravation!
This sounds like the way to go. Now I'm just hoping I don't break the damn thing getting it apart and back together again. We'll see this weekend if my cable decides to show up on time.
Thanks!
Cool, thanks for confirming the 16GB in Windows isn't a problem. The main reason to upgrade for me would be the 16GB rather than just a small increase in frequency/speed.
I've been using OS X as my main OS for the better part of a year on this Probook, and actually ran without a dual boot for a...
Hi All,
I have an i7 2720qm & AUO B156HW01 V.4 (and necessary cable) inbound that I plan on installing this weekend. From what I've gathered, I will need to reinstall/repatch the DSDT & SSDT. Here's how I figure it will go down, and would just like a confirmation:
Delete DSDT from /Extras...
Hi All,
I have a Probook 4530s running 10.9.1, specs are in my signature. I have an i7 2720QM inbound which should get here just in time for a weekend project (along with the highly touted AUO B156HW01 V.4 LCD). I have a few questions:
1) I know people are running this processor already; how...
