I believe I have tried that but it has made no difference. There are two USB 2 hubs showing up in the system information, but it shows as nothing being connected even though there are, so I'm assuming they're not the 'real' ports showing up?!

I am now up to 10.3.2 supplemental update with everything stable and working except for my USB 2 ports. I have attempted to follow the above linked guide, but its very difficult to follow. Anybody able to provide any support to get my USB 2 ports working and understand the guide linked above...

On Step 7 of the guide to update and maintain HFS+, when you get the multiple reboots, just to clarify do you select the "install macOS High Sierra" option on each reboot? And if so, at what point/how do you know its done and to boot into the regular OSX option?

It is not much help, but I am in the same boat! Content is all on the USB stick and shows up in Mac as having several GB occupied with a partition for installer and partition titled EFI, so I then boot the UEFI from the USB drive and I just see my Windows partitions and no USB High Sierra installer.
