I get intermittent freezes, computer often dies and goes to no power while it's sleeping.
I am rusty in Console, how do I search for PANIC logs or otherwise diagnose crashes or freezes? I'm really rusty.
I remember back in the day there were "shutdown" codes 0-5 that indicated different types...
Still got the error after 3 or 4 Restarts. :(
Changed back to a much older BIOS preset, that I suspect is actually the same as Last Good Boot settings.
Deleted Library/Preferences/PowerManagement files to address unexpected power offs during Sleep...
It worked! For some reason audio didn't work for me back in January under 10.15.2, but now simply clicking "AppleALC" in Multibeast 12.1.0 under 10.15.4 took me from No Audio devices to full audio 3 out / 1 in WITH HDMI audio!
Aww... it's been so long since I broke HDMI audio! Well now I've...
Peter, do you still have the DisableLibraryValidation.kext installed?
I could not boot successfully until I installed the DisableLibraryValidation.kext in EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other, even though the correct com.apple.security.libraryvalidation.plist was already present in...
After installing 10.15.2 from Unibeast, I did the rough update to 10.15.4 under Clover 5102.
Was eventually able to reboot successfully repeatedly with 1024x768 resolution.
Built the Legacy-Video-patch-16 package (watch the video) and installed it successfully. Didn’t know to run any Pre or...
TonyMac, is it still advised to use the "DSDT-GA-H67N-USB3-B3-F9-HDMI.aml" Gigabyte DSDT file for the 2011 CustoMac? Should it be in "origin" or "patched" or is it no longer necessary? Thank you.
Hello Everyone!
I made the 2011/2012 CustoMac Mini successfully and had HDMI Audio working correctly for years, from 10.7 to 10.12. Then I mucked something up trying to update to 10.13 and beyond this Winter.
Now I cannot get 889 or HDMI Audio working again in MacOS 10.12.
I am trying to...
Wondering if this is a known issue, my searches didn't produce results for my issue.
I've been running Sierra on the 2011 CustoMac Mini for years now. I wanted to try to install Catalina. But instead of risking my successful Sierra install, I bought a new SSD and installed Catalina fresh on...
FYI, to answer my own question, yes. The only thing you have to do is download the latest version of the installer, run it, restart and boom, now it boots in 1080P instead of 1024x768! It just works!
The Clover Boot screen and the initial Apple logo are still 1024x768 but now at 3/4th progress...
I am running the original 2011 CustoMac Mini on a 2500k (Intel HD 3000).
I tried a Catalina install on a fresh SSD and it successfully boots independently but only has 1024x768 pixels resolution. Will running this installer automatically give me 1920x1080 or is that a separate issue?
I’m installing fresh right now and noticed that too, but the initial installation completed without error.
I didn’t realize the CATALINA volume was HFS until the 2nd Clover boot.
I just chose it to complete installation and it’s almost done. Let’s see if it’s still HFS or if it was converted...
Hey Augie, great work!
I am still using the original 2011 Custo Mac Mini build and am now trying to complete fresh installs of OS's newer than Sierra onto spare SSD drives. Unibeast for High Sierra and Mojave both fail with the apfs.efi error.
I also wondered if that's the last step in...
Trying to do a fresh install on the 2011 Custo Mac Mini in early 2020.
I ran into this problem. Came to this thread.
My process which was ultimately successful was to:
Boot from USB installer, choose installer,
Run the ntpdate -u “time.apple.com” command (not sure I typed that correctly, double...
