Got a kernel panic on my build Asus Sabertooth Z77 build. It was an issue with AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement. Rebooted into my clone and ran my entire multi beast config again, not just audio and that cleared the kernel panic...
Update 10.9.2 First attempt got me a Kernel Panic. Had to boot into my clone (or you could boot into Unibeast) and patch AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement OS X 10.9.0 via multibeast on my primary install. This allowed me to reboot into that drive and clear the Kernel Panic.
Just wanted to post a quick update. First, the BIOS on the Z77 has had several incremental upgrades since I set it up. I have upgraded to the latest version and everything works fine (after you restore the boot order). As another user in this thread asked, USB3.0 did not work on the front...
Thanks for the feedback, I am glad to hear someone else was able to use this guide with success. If you optimize the system in any way please add that feedback to this thread, would love to hear it.

Well, I gave it a shot and it worked fine. You can't disable the 6870 in PEG1 in Windows or it freaks out, but I am successfully using a 6870 for OSX and a 7970 for Windows with little effort.
Running 2560x1440 and Windows gaming was not great on my 6870. Can I keep the 6870 in PEG1 to continue using my hackintosh but load a 7970 in to PEG2 for Windows? I envision DVI-D for Max rez on the 6870 in OSX and Displayport on the 7970 for max rez in windows and just change the input for...
Unique problem so far: Set this up last night with a fresh install of Lion then combo to 10.7.2 then MB and Tune up 3.0, everything is giggity, thanks for that. Here is the issue. I am using this as a Home Theater. The HDMI out below the VGA port goes into a Dolby Digital Receiver that...
I would get the P8Z68 Deluxe myself. If I had to give a reason, I like the amount of support for ALC889 better than 892. Two months later and I still have no problems.
1.) Sleep works fine, bluetooth using my adapter doesn't wake with the machine so you have to restart to get bluetooth back. Alternatively the onboard bluetooth works fine but doesn't support the magic trackpad and if your using lion without a magic trackpad, your not really using lion so whats...
Okay, so you guys in the 15000-18000 range, I take it you are over clocked correct? I just ran MSRDumper on my install and got the following. Not sure why I only show 2 states, it may be because of imac12,2 any input? Does this look correct?
Mine is coming in at 12K with no overlock but I also need to run MSRDumper and do some tweaking to see if I have it all tuned out. I think I can improve on that.
Get rid of this:
<key>AtiConfig</key>
<string>Duckweed</string>
other than that I think it looks just like mine, can check this afternoon. Definitely don't need the above because you have vanilla support. It will show it as a 6870 with 1GB RAM but not black. The benefit to the black is that...
