Apple Introduces New MacBook Air and Mac Mini

This one looks extraordinary. I'll look into it.

Going smaller - from mini to nano

Hi, I really like the buyers guides and have made several builds based on ATX and mATX. Apple released the new Mac mini several months ago. Seeing this beautiful little gem I realized I rather have a small form factor. Let’s call it nano. Don’t care much about expandibility, one or two drives...

    macOS 10.13.6 Update

Hi, Weird problem for me, never occurred before. After installing the combo update 10.13.6 the machine works as aspected. "about this Mac" mentions a machine running on 10.13.6. See also the screenshot from the AppStore Update window. But: the Mac keeps asking for installing the 10.13.6 update...

    macOS 10.13.6 Update

I'm probably one of the last. Update did not go well initially. It wasn't clear at first reboot you have to choose the macOS install partition. So I booted back to the OS a few times. At last, I downloaded a full update from Apple. During install I chose the macOS install partition two times...

    AtherosL1cEthernet tweaked for High Sierra

Hi, Man you have saved my life and a LOT of time. Until your kext came along, my hack just kept resetting after sleep. I couldn’t figure out the cause. After reading and trying every kind of clover entry and alternative kext, this came along. It works! Man I’m so happy I could kiss and hug you...

No ethernet on GA-Z77-DS3H High Sierra

Take the Multibeast Yosemite edition. From there you can install a driver for Atheros 8151. It’s only on the Yosemite version. Mind you, only for Motherboard version 1.0.

    macOS 10.12.6 Update

Update worked fine. I used the update from the App Store. The update took a few minutes before the restart. Just after restart the update took like 15 minutes to complete and during the update the machine seemed to freeze a minute or two. Just wait it out. After the update, everything seems stable.

    Atheros8151

My machine has been very stable with this driver, I hope the same for you

    Atheros8151

Hi I have the same chip in a ga-z77-ds3h and experienced the exact same problem. From a fellow tonymaccer I got the following tip: download Multibeast Yosemite Edition and install the mentioned Atheros driver. Running like a charm since then. The driver somehow is not available on recent...

UniBeast: Install macOS Sierra on Any Supported Intel-based PC

Unfortunately an update to Sierra didn't work out. The computer froze during reboot. I managed however to successfully install a fresh version of Sierra by using a USB stick with unibeast. Right now I'm running happily 10.12.5 stable on my computer. I recommend the AirPort Extreme hardware to...

UniBeast: Install macOS Sierra on Any Supported Intel-based PC

You fix was a life saver for me when I was about to throw the hack out of the window! Network works like a charm now. Too bad in the new Multibeast the required driver no longer is available. Thanks!

    OS X 10.10.5 Update

First, I did a combo update which went flawless. After reboot, I ran THE new MultiBeast (DSDT-Free) and rebooted again. During startup, THE computer frozed. I tried again with flag verbose and saw that the IObluetoothHCcontroller and USBMSC were the problem. My knowledge of OS X is too low to...

    OS X 10.10.3 Update

No problems, just a painless update. A little scary is that after you have started the update and have run multibeast, the update logs off and updates the system in a closed separate screen in which you can do nothing.
