    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Ok thanks as usual for your quick contribution @pastrychef - always appreciated. I disabled HDR and resuming after sleep does not trigger the VIVID HDR setting on my monitors. I will read a bit on HDR to learn how it is implemented on 10.15.4.

@pastrychef I just updated yesterday to 10.15.4 and updated to the latest kexts; clover is v5115. I have a weird behaviour that seems to be related to HDR. After waking up monitors having gone to sleep (no need for full system to go to sleep), I get extremely vivid colors instead of normal...

<< Solved >> RX 560 very high fan speed after wake from sleep on 10.14.4 (solved by 10.14.5 beta 2)

I confirmed this is fixed with 10.14.5 Beta 4 on my system as well.

Thank you for this. Do you have a single monitor or multiple? How is it (are they) connected? DP? HDMI? DVI?

<< Solved >> RX 560 very high fan speed after wake from sleep on 10.14.4 (solved by 10.14.5 beta 2)

I confirm the same issue. I took the kext from the mediafire link and installed that on my 10.14.4. After reboot, I had graphical glitches and, out of my 3 monitors, 2 on display ports and 1 on DVI, there was no display on the DVI one and I was stuck in mirror mode on the display port monitors...

After 10.14.4 Update, RX580 Fans Ramp Up & Down Rapidly

Tried it and lost the ability to arrange displays. I am forced in mirror mode and cannot adjust resolution. This is on an RX580 on 10.14.4. Proceed with caution

Thank you - I am actually following this thread. As it fails only after sleep

Same problem here on an RX580 :( after upgrade to 10.14.4 over last weekend.

A bit too quick at considering this solved. I have the same problem after sleep - sigh :(

Great I fixed my problem of my 580 GPU fans going crazy high speed when reaching 58 degrees Celsius. I leveraged that post downloading HWSensors3 and adding the relevant kexts. The fans of the GPU kick in at 58 but slowly and not full speed. It would have driven me crazy otherwise.

How do you do that on the Vega cards? That might give me some inspiration ;-)

@pastrychef I investigated a bit and I got the following GPU temperature vs fan behaviour - not entirely wrong but would like the fan to run maybe at lower speed to avoid the bump of speed which becomes very audible. Fan not running: ioreg -l | grep \"PerformanceStatistics\" | cut -d '{' -f 2...

No. I hear the GPU fans spinning faster for 10-20 seconds consistently every few minutes. It does not even look like it is really to load as it happens without any activity.

@pastrychef - I upgraded to the last set of kexts and upgraded to 10.14.4 successfully however I noticed the fans of AMD R580 8GB do not spin constantly which means that every now and then, they spin fast for 20secs which frankly is a bit annoying. I did not observe this behaviour when I was on...
