Thanks ethermcman. In my case I’ll start from scratch with high Sierra. Can I follow the same steps of the Sierra install and just add the kexts you mentioned?
What about that new EFI check in High Sierra, is it a problem...
Any brave man/woman tried to install High Sierra yet?
I'm looking forward to rebuild my D34010WYK and use it, but there's the new filesystem and always some specific kext updates.
Basic Question:
I already have an installation of El Capitan on my NUC. Can I run the Sierra installer from the USB and upgrade my existing system, and keep all my apps and configs? I know I have to patch sound, etc.
Or do I have to start from scratch?
BTW my NUc model is D34010WYK.
-EDIT-...
Hi, I have a dual boot system with El Capitan and Windows 10 in the same SSD, working fine, using Clover as boot manager.
I have no use for Windows anymore and want to delete it and recover the space to the OS X partition. Questions:
1. Is it as simple as entering Disk Utility, delete Windows...
Ok, I updated to 10.11.4. Just to be sure, I have to get this new kext in the zip file and run the script of the first post again as in
Is this correct?
I read in the other posts that some are having trouble with sound after 10.11.3 update.
I think i'll skip that and see what happens in 10.11.4. Everything is so stable now, I dont want to mess with it.
Of course, here you go:
Config files:
Graphics kexts:
I'm not using SSDT-4.
SSDT-2 is the original from post #1.
Graphics minimum memory in Bios is 32MB, but About this Mac says Intel HD Graphics 4400 1536 MB
@intopieces, really great setup man! Congratulations.
Success (so far)!! This worked for me > http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/145427-fix-intel-hd4200-hd4400-hd4600-mobile-yosemite.html
I used the desktop id for HD4400, placed the kexts FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics and FakePCIID in EFI/CLOVER/kexts.
Thanks Sebinouse and RehabMan...
Thanks again.
I generated the SSDT with the .sh file, with a .dsl extension. Then I opened in MaciASL, hit Compile and saved as SSDT.aml.
Copied the new SSDT to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched (removed the old one first)
Changed config.plist in EFI/CLOVER/
Changed SSDT-3.aml in...
Ok, I'll make the modifications.
Config.plist is easy to change.
I found an app called MaciASL that can edit the SSDT-3.aml
I never generated a SSDT file before so I'm not sure how to use the ssdtPRGen. I followed the link and there's an app and a bunch of files in the directory. Do i have to...
Hey Sebinouse, thanks for the guide.
