[Guide] Installing macOS Mojave (10.14.2) on Intel NUCi5BEH using Clover UEFI + updating to Mojave (10.14.6) on post#2

@Leesureone I'm not seeing the EFI folder attached to that post anymore. Is there a more up to date version on a different post?

    [Guide] Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3

@Elite2k Thanks for the help! I followed your guide and I have Catalina running great on my x299 board. Dumb question, if I'm using EFI provided by another user here, and I copied it from my boot USB to the EFI partition of my boot SSD, do I need to run Multibeast before rebooting?

    iMacPro AsRock X299 e + i9 9940x = MiniMonsterBuild

Got it working. It was the ram, as per my post in catalina support. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-macos-sierra-could-not-be-installed-on-your-computer.206935/ Thanks again @kubusikan for the EFI!

<< Solved >> Issues with Catalina rebooting during OS Install

It was the ram. Replaced with a single stick of samsung ddr4 8gb 2400mhz did the trick. No issues at all.

<< Solved >> Issues with Catalina rebooting during OS Install

Looks like it is either ram, ssd, or usb stick r/w errors: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-macos-sierra-could-not-be-installed-on-your-computer.206935/ Will update if I get this working.

Ok, I let it run it's course for a while.... it eventually said that it couldn't be installed on my hardware, and I needed to run diagnostics by holding down f12 while booting. I'll probably try that tomorrow.

<< Solved >> Issues with Catalina rebooting during OS Install

Hi, Total noob back after a long break. Sorry for dumb questions. I am having issues with getting Catalina installed. With verbose mode on, I do not get any crashes/hangs, and the installation seems to proceed fine. When the installer indicates 6 minutes remaining (about 45% of the way...

    iMacPro AsRock X299 e + i9 9940x = MiniMonsterBuild

I'll add that clover seems to think the rx580 is a rx480. Also, I formatted my ssd with GUID partition and APFS. Should that be an issue? Cycle: 1 Bios splash 2 Clover splash 3 (Autoselect SSD for os install) 4 Black screen, white logo, moves slowly and evenly through single bar 5 Screen...

    iMacPro AsRock X299 e + i9 9940x = MiniMonsterBuild

Everything seems to work fine, but when I'm at the install screen "installing on 'hackintosh'", it tells me about 10-14 minutes is remaining, but at 6 minutes remaining it reboots to clover and cycles back to the same install screen. Am I missing something obvious?

    iMacPro AsRock X299 e + i9 9940x = MiniMonsterBuild

@kubusikan Thank you so much! I'm giving this a try right now. I picked up an RX 580 sapphire nitro+ 4gb today, but I am not sure where I should go to add support. Is there any need for me to add a kext or something?

    iMacPro AsRock X299 e + i9 9940x = MiniMonsterBuild

I'm having trouble getting the bootable usb stick (built using this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-create-a-macos-catalina-public-beta-installation-usb.278188/ and followed by an installtion of clover v4961) to be seen by my x299e-itx board. I'm using the usb port above the...

Hackintosh for SuperCollider, Max/MSP, audio production? (TB3 + AVB hardware)

@trs96 Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate the upfront assessment. I'll put this on the back burner and see if I can get everything working on the itx board sometime before 2020, but I won't rely on it much at all. Since it will take a while anyways, I might as well make it a fun...

Hackintosh for SuperCollider, Max/MSP, audio production? (TB3 + AVB hardware)

Hey guys, It's been a few years since I have done a build, and I'm pretty out of the loop. I've been lurking for the last two weeks or so, gleaning info, but I am not 100% sure on a few things. I bought a macbook a month ago for some work stuff, and I am honestly blown away by how good it is...

Dell P2715Q running only at 2560x1440 resolution

Naw, your good. Just a dumb mistake you might have googled. Integrated graphics can't run the 2715q @ 4k. I have the 15q and the 15k, and neither can be pushed farther than 1440p except with a discrete gpu.
