I'm trying to update my 10.8.5 to the latest version of mavericks. I followed the steps from the install guide; downloaded mavericks, created a OSX journaled USB drive with unibeast on it and booted from the usb.
Now I'm stuck in the unibeast screen. I get 2 icons, left saying "USB" right...
The first one I pulled out was indeed bad, when I run the test now it has 0 errors after 3 passes.
Strange thing though, is that I can boot windows with no problems when I have both sticks in..
Is there a way to fix the stick? or is this a hardware problem and do I need to send it back...
Ok so I ran memtest and I let it do its thing for over 2 hours. When I came back to check on it, it crashed on the first pass (48%)
It did find errors though, but I don't know how to read the report. Can someone explain what it means? I added a screenshot

Does memtest update my ssd firmware? or do you mean testing it with memtest and then updating the firmware...
