I'm still using my Dell 9020 MT hackintosh as my main computer. Its running mojave via clover, and does everything i need from a computer. I have thought about building a new hac and trying opencore but thats as far as its gone! I have zero problems with this hackintosh, it just works!
Has a...
OK, thanks. I have tried the BrcmFirmwareData and BrcmPatchRam2 Kexts, and it was still intermittent; i.e.: disconnects/reconnects. I'm not even sure that the Hideez has a Broadcom chipset so currently running without the kexts. I moved the dongle to a few different USB ports, and I seemed...
Hi Trs,
Got the Hideez Bluetooth dongle today, plugged it in and the hackintosh, which didn't have any Bluetooth before, and it showed up in the system report. I ran the Terminal command but not sure if I needed to as it was already picking up the Hideez.
My problem is that, while it will see...
Thanks Trs, I ordered one direct from Hideez, they had a 25% off deal going. Its coming by canoe from the US though so won't get it for 2 to 4 weeks apparently. Amazon and ebay were much the same though. I'll post results when i get it.
Thanks Stork, I have already checked that and searched for the GMYLE one but it looks to be out of stock everywhere. I'm in Australia so that doesn't help. Do you know if they still make them?
I was hoping someone had found a bluetooth 5.0 dongle that worked as well out of the box, cheers
Hi Everyone, hopefully an easy question. My optiplex 9020 MT running Mojave via Clover is in need of a Bluetooth solution. What Bluetooth dongle do you recommend? I don't have WiFi on my hackintosh either so a WiFi/Bluetooth solution would be OK but not necessary. Just after Bluetooth so I...
I did try that, no change, i think they are just too slow to spin up. its a shame cause I have a bit of coil whine coming from one of the CM fans. Machine was much more quiet with all SW3 in there, just don't want to have to press F1 every start up!
Thank you. Yeah I am using a noctua NA-FC1 fan controller connected to the case fan header via a 5 to 4 pin cable. The cpu fan is connected directly to the cpu cooler fan via another 5 to 4 pin cable. The system works fine with 2 140mm be quiet silent wings fans in the front and a CM silencio...
Hi Trs,
Have been away from this forum for a while enjoying my Hack! I tried to replace the rear case fan and the CM hyper 212 rgb black fan with a couple of 120mm be quiet silent wings 3 fans today. No luck, getting a motherboard fan error and also get a cpu fan error. I'm thinking the be...
My Pleasure, I have learnt so much from this forum, this threat and by badgering Trs and others with questions its nice to share in return.
Reference your project, there are some issues I believe in moving a SSF 9020 to a new case. Trs could confirm this or have a look through posts 2 and 3...
Thanks Trs, I agree with you reference the Dell backplate, it seems very study and I have no worries about hanging the Hyper 212 off it given that the bolts I used are threaded all the way through the motherboard. I think it is probably stronger than most stock (ie normal motherboard)...
