    BitterMelon's "Chip" build: GA-Z77N-WIFI - i5-3570K - HD 6870

Yeah, I just noticed that too. My BT speakers work like they should, but my headphones (connected to the computer) don't. There's no output device for sound in the sound settings. Doh! Stork: Thanks, but in your post you have the output devices, I don't. :( *edit* I reinstalled the ALC892 with...

    BitterMelon's "Chip" build: GA-Z77N-WIFI - i5-3570K - HD 6870

Just upgraded to Yosemite. A few snags on the way, but pretty much according to the guide. A few things: * Make sure you boot from the Unibeast USB stick (BIOS boot menu!), not the HDD and then just selecting the Unibeast stick in the boot loader. That won't work! * Remove Kernel Cache in...

    BitterMelon's "Chip" build: GA-Z77N-WIFI - i5-3570K - HD 6870

Yeah, I've been running wired most of the time. I have had similar problems, but rather than "unplugged" it's connected, but I get no IP. Last time I simply removed the Ethernet entries, rebooted, put them back again and rebooted again. After a while it started working. No real clue what made...

I haven't tried it, but yes, I assume it would work.

Yes I do sadly. It's possible to use overscan to compensate, but then nothing in OS X is actually sharp, so it's a bad idea. I believe it's because it reports as a TV for some reason.

Why wouldn't it last very long? I doubt that it would break if left powering two fans? Besides, if it's low RPM fans, they are not likely to draw much power anyway. Even better if they are volted down.

Same problem I had. I linked a possible solution in the first post. Have you tried that?

Should be the same as the ones I used.

    1. Yes, if the CPU has HD4000 graphics. HD2500 won't work. 2. No. Hackintoshing requires drivers, bootloader and some magic that Unibeast and Multibeast provides. What CPU is it? Which i7?

Looking for PCIx to Mini half height

You can't go PCIe -> mini-PCIe, only the other way around as far as I know. With a PCIe -> mini-PCIe adapter, where would you fasten the PCIe card? It's huge compared to a mini-PCIe card (and indeed the slot). So, no, I doubt you will find an adapter. Anyway, you can get a mini-PCIe card for as...

    NTFS Bootabe usb drive?

If it's for Unibeast, you can't run that from Windows anyway, so no need to format it from Windows.

    1. Get another harddrive or SSD. 2. Unplug the ones you have now. 3. Install the new drive and install Windows 7. 4. Re-plug the old drives and boot from the OS X drive.

    First Hackintosh build

Have you tried resetting the BIOS? This kind of start-stop-start-stop can occur if the BIOS settings are wrong (for example: bad overclocking settings).
