Looking for some ideas on RGB lighting with this build. I have a separate SSD with windows on it and have all my lights set to blue and the case fans, graphics card and RAM lights all show blue and are disabled during sleep in Windows. On the Mac SSD, the case fans are blue, but the graphics...
@pastrychef it looks like some of our comments on here got wiped during the website update (which looks really nice BTW!) but I wanted to update you since you helped a lot with this issue.
So thankfully I have everything working now. There were two things I tried that I believe fixed the black...
If needed. I can do a fresh install on the SSD with some modified tips if that would help, as it seems Stork's steps arent fully functioning on my build for some reason.
Nope, I have used Stork's setting of Primary Display set to PEG and iGPU Multimonitor set to Disabled in
Advanced > System Agent (SA) Configuration > Graphics Configuration
I used the latest EFI you posted and the same thing happened. Shows clover, I click mac os, shows progress bar moving for...
I replaced my EFi folder with the one you posted, I get to clover boot menu, click boot Mac os, it shows the progress bar for a little, then goes black and stops displaying on my screen, as if the input was dropped :/
I set inject intel to false and rebooted but it still boots with ugly graphics. Seems like the nvidia drivers arent actually catching. Also I noticed that each time I reboot, my clover isnt remembering that i selected Mac os option and doesnt do the auto boot 3 second timer like it was doing...
Ugly as in everything looks bloated and there is tearing/refresh lines that show up, just like when you first boot before installing nvidia drivers. Yes I have the correct nvidia drivers. In Config.plist inject Intel is set to true, so I will set that to false. I also noticed when I go to the...
Ok I rebooted, replaced VboxHFS with the HFSPlus and rebooted again. Now the Nvidia Driver remained selected, great! For some reason though it is still displaying in an ugly fashion as if it is not using the Nvidia drivers and the only resolution available is 1280x1024. Any idea why that would be?
Ok I have run this pkg. Would I now rereun Clover Installer and select the AptioMemoryFix?
I am installing the latest Clover v4813 and have these options selected:
Clover for UEFI booting only
Install clover in the ESP
UEFI Drivers: DataHubDxe, FSInject, SMCHelper, VboxHfs, APFSDriverLoader...
Perfect. Everything you've mentioned so far has gotten the SSD booting all on its own, thank you so much!
As for the Nvidia drivers and NVRAM, I selected the Bootloaders > UEFI Boot Mode + Emulated NVRAM option in MultiBeast when I ran this the first time, but I'm not sure why it isn't working...
I can't believe you were able to read that lol. Yeah, I had a few forums open about the prohibited symbol. I was finally able to find a USB 2 extension cable and put my USB drive in through that and it FINALLY booted normally again. I just wonder why it worked without that the first time and...
For some reason i can no longer boot from the USB though. Check out the bottom half of my post to see the current most pressing issue with any USB I use showing the prohibited symbol. Thanks!
Hello,
I followed this guide exactly, only difference is I am using a GTX 1080 Ti. I am able to get through the entire install, install MultiBeast and Nvidia web drivers. Then, I reboot and boot from the SSD but it doesn't show the macOS High Sierra install. However, if I boot from the USB...
