A live version of ubuntu can do the job you just need to have the edid of your internal screen. You can also use windows software like this one.

Lot of People have this problem on big sur. Apparenty you cannot have 4k 60fps on your internal screen so you have to limit to 4k 40fps. For that you need EDID patching, you can follow instruction here https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/laptop-internal-4k-display-not-working.305433/post-2202906

I have the same problem on my hp spectre 2020(see here) and sadly no working solution. But some people with other laptop than mine have succeeded with edid patching(like here). Don’t forget the -cdfon boot flag(prior to bigsur only)

Thank you for this guide ! But sadly none of the current supported layout ids is working on my ALC285. I suppose that i need another layout id(like the hp spectre 13-ap0xxx that have now id 71 in the last AppleAlc release).

Same here. I have done a lot of tests with edid patcher in config.plist or with overrides file in /System/Library/.../Overrides like suggested in this post. But no success. I have even test in Catalina and the behavior was exactly the same as on bigsur. I can see the display in Io registry...

I have an hp spectre 2020 with wifi,touchpad, battery working but still in issue to have the internal oled 4k screen working with graphic acceleration(it can work with graphics acceleration on an external monitor, or without acceleration with the internal screen)...

Hi thank for your EFI folder, it work fine but usb drive, ethernet usb dongle or any usb device don't work within mac os. Do you have the same problem and have you succeeded to fix it ?
