I know it's probably different if you're using a graphics card, but what's the standard rule of thumb for this build using only HD3000 graphics regarding GE=NO or GE=YES or leaving the flag out of the plist?
I think I have always had GE=NO and it works, but that may have been just to get...
the power supply can be exchanged (as long as you get the right form factor/size) in this case. if you plan to use a video card, you need to make sure it will fit in the case. The suggested case only has one slot, while most cards take up two.
i received an auto-notify email from newegg.com that the GA-H67N-USB3-B3 mini-ITX board is in stock! all of you wanting to get one should be able to now. I wonder if it is a different revision?
Could you describe exactly which BIOS setting you speak of and post a picture of it? This would help others test the possibility, or tell if its something they've already changed without any luck of remedying the artifacts.
Yes, if you got it from the Toleda post in the front page of this thread. Rename it dsdt.aml and place it in /Extra folder. Make sure you've fixed permissions (run system utilities from Multibeast is one way to do that).
If you have the correct DSDT for HDMI on HD3000 and the correct AppleHDA kext, then your audio ID should be 389. Be sure and check your S/L/E folder and make sure there isn't another audio kext that is getting in the way.
make sure you are using HDMI2 port under the USB (not VGA). You possibly have another AppleHDA kext in place. check and make sure you don't have an ALC8xx kext. you should only have the AppleHDA.kext (Beta 889) that Toleda posted a link to on the first page of this thread.
i noticed that the new release of Multibeast includes boot flags "npci=0x3000" instead of "npci=0x2000". Is this a change that should be made in the org.chameleon.Boot.plist? what makes it better than 0x2000? I searched the forums for "npci=0x3000" and found numerous mentions that people were...
Are you using Core i5 2500k? Or just 2500? The 'k' version is important because it has Intel HD3000, the other is only HD2000. I'm not sure OSX or Chimera support HD2000, only HD3000. That would be my first guess at your problem. If you have a supported PCIe Graphics Adapter, then you could use...
Toleda, is there a way to meld together the DSDT from this link: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=50063
that fixes sleep issues, with the DSDT you posted (in tuneup kit 4) that gives HD3000 HDMI audio? That way we could see if the sleep issues are fixed. I haven't really noticed any in my setup yet, but...
I dont remember having to follow everything for the WD Green since I have a Seagate drive. But, I remember making sure the partition was active and making sure a boot file was in the right place. It was a hidden file, so I had to run "show all files" to work with it. Hope that helps. I had to...
I ran into this same problem and posted about where I found help earlier in the this thread. I can't quickly find it now or I'd post it. I searched "boot 0 error" (or maybe "boot 0: error") and found some threads that talked about how to fix it. I also ran the Chimera installer that you can find...
