<< Solved >> Kernel panic on boot though unsure of reason

Thank you for your reply! I had actually removed the i210 card, but was still having the KP. Good news... I was able to boot using " -f " which allowed me to get into macOS and rebuild the kext cache. No more IntelMausEthernet remnants and all is well! Thank you everyone for bearing with me...

Here are a few screen grabs from right before the KP starts, I think.

<< Solved >> Kernel panic on boot though unsure of reason

As mentioned above, I’ve deleted the kextcache, but the IntelMausiEthernet next is still loading and causing the kernel panic. Is there anywhere I’m missing where it needs to be deleted? For what it’s worth, I can mount the drive on my MacBook, but can’t boot into it.

<< Solved >> Kernel panic on boot though unsure of reason

Just to clarify, I have the Fenvi FV-T919 card back in the system and everything else the way it physically was before I started experiencing these kernel panics. Are there any additional logs I can provide that might help shed more light on the source of the problem?

<< Solved >> Kernel panic on boot though unsure of reason

I didn’t, but I just deleted the contents of /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/ and the result is the same. I’ll get some screenshots of the current boot sequence in the morning to give an idea of its current state. Thank you for your help so far.

<< Solved >> Kernel panic on boot though unsure of reason

Thank you for your reply! I thought I had removed that kext from my EFI, and I didn't see it in S/L/E or L/E. Is there something I might be missing? Re: your second message I've got the EFI cleaned up and those kexts updated, but still having the same KP whenever I boot. I should note that the...

Agreed on the annoying display on KPs. Attached is my EFI directory.

<< Solved >> Kernel panic on boot though unsure of reason

I had a (mostly) functional Catalina build and decided to add an ethernet card to get functional ethernet. At some point in the process, of swapping out my Fenvi FV-T919 for an Intel I210-T1 Network Adapter E0X95AA I started getting kernel panics on boot. I now can't boot at all. I assume it's...

    How to Disable DP Audio?

Did anyone find a solution to the DP audio issue? I'm having the same problem.

Why 16GB Memory in MacBook (PRO)

I use Logic and music composition apps that require a ton of memory to load my sound libraries. When I'm on the road, I'd like to have the capabilities of loading medium sized projects, which I can't currently with only 8GB of RAM—sometimes not even with the 16GB in the MBP.

    10.11.5 - EVGA 980 Kingpin

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm currently using the iMac14,2 SMBIOS with the GFX card and everything is running as expected, aside from the usual glitchy artifacts from onboard GFX. I was considering switching to the MacPro3,1, as I've had success with that on my current build. Would that not be...

    10.11.5 - EVGA 980 Kingpin

I've got one of these guys coming today. From what I've read, I'm assuming that I should just have to install the latest web drivers, reboot use boot flag nvda_drv=1 not nv_disable=1 and everything should more or less work? The build is my Skylake build in my signature. Thanks!

    No Audio : GA-Z170X-Gaming 5-EU / i7 6700K / GTX 970

This helped me. After misreading that the 100 series sound wasn't working, I hadn't checked that. Just ran the 10.11.5 update, then MultiBeast with both the ALC1150 and 100 Seires check, I got things working. Thanks!

    Can't boot without USB

I'm in a similar situation, so I'm curious to read what solutions people present, if any. I'm on a GA-Z170X SOC FORCE, but similar enough I suppose.
