Yep, you would. Keep in mind that if you delete the board ID that is not yours it shouldn't be a problem, as your system will not identify as having that board, so it would have no effect.
Not having more information than that, I can only guess. If your Mac Board ID is not in the file, in theory (if everything else is correct) you shouldn't even be affected - but presumably you are since you're posting here. So I surmise your Board ID is somehow a custom board ID, and that leads...
Not that I know too much about this, but it does sounds more like an issue of your internal graphics card not properly being integrated into the system. Have you tried setting up your system without it (external graphics only), or do you require it? Either way, if it works without you know the...
Works for me. Have you tried the above solution? If it doesn't work, this might not be the problem that is causing your issue. Please let us know here what you tried and if it worked.

I tried various fixes talked about...
Thanks, dropping the MATS table seems to have done it! Had to do it three times during various restarts, but now my stems reports OS 10.13.3.
Now how do I drop the MATS table permanently, resp. how exactly do I set FixHeaders to true in the plist? Can you give me the XML code? Thank you so much...
