I'm using the xbox live webcam. Completely plug and play. Works fine. Not the best camera, but you can get it for super cheap on ebay.

Yeah my friend had the same problem. Ended up using the glossy cover of a book as a mouse pad. I would pick up a plastic gaming mat if it really bugs you. Another option would be to add those plastic pads they make for mice to the bottom of your magic mouse. Or some tape :)

Yeah it really does seem as if my user id is not being recognized. I am not sure how to fix it either.

I tried that and all my disks have a lock sign on them. It looks like my permissions are seriously messed up. Right now I am just really worried because even my time machine backup has a lock sign, so I might lose all my important data. This is really bad... Please, someone help!!!!
