Disabled all the Intel Graphics attributes in Config.plist (after backup of course), disabled IGFX in the Bios and set boot to PCI-e slot 1 (RX 580 card), 1 DP monitor and 1 HDMI monitor attached to the card. Rebooted and WiFi and sleep work. Airplay to my Apple TV for presentations still works...
This is a really weird problem. Added a BCM94360CD to my rig, got it working perfectly inc. BT under Catalina 10.15.3. Have Sapphire RX580 and Intel HD Graphics HD 630 graphics card working including turning the monitors off (but not sleep - black screen).
Upgraded to 10.15.4 including Clover...
I could never get sleep to work - issue with the HD630 monitor never switching back on. Some have suggested it is due to using HDMI cable to the monitor - given we are now in lockdown for a few weeks, might take the time to investigate
From TP-Link:
Hello, I know some of you updated to Catalina 10.15 of your Mac, and need the driver for it.
Generally speaking, the TP-Link official driver for Mac 10.15 will be released in a month after the official 10.15 OS version came out. That is to say, the driver of
TP-Link...
Smooth upgrade - Clover 4961, Whatevergreen.kext, Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext updated using Hackintool before upgrade, CCC clone of Mojave and 40 mins, 2 boots later - joy with no sound... Ran Hackintool to install latest Whatevergreen.kext, Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext and all working. Can't...
Well that was smooth - Clover update applied, install from System Preferences update, 4 reboots and boom, everything works (SSDT for USB in place). I use a ATEN KWM switch to share a HDMI monitor with my iMac and as of this update (no other changes) I have audio via HDMI from my Sapphire RX580...
A couple of observations:
Booting with igfx gives a much faster startup from Clover to Login screen but I have noticed with games that my fps drops dramatically. Booting off the Sapphire card takes forever (1 min+) but games all run at max fps.
I could only get this setup working with 10.14.2...
Just finished upgrading my main box to support Mojave. Added the Sapphire RX 580 Pulse, 24Gb RAM, i5 CPU.
Good things:
HD 630 and Sapphire RX 580 video enabled - I boot into the igfx, vt-d is enabled in bios but no other special bios configs.
USB 3 and 3.1 all working
I have a USB external...
Hi,
Just a post for anyone struggling with the Atheros (vs Intel) ethernet on the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H. I found the driver included in latest Yosemite Multibeast for the Atheros ethernet did not work after a clean install, so I reverted to using the driver from Mavericks (Shailua's...
Hi,
Have you tried "-GraphicsEnabler=No -f -F -x" boot options?
I had to add "-DSDT=/dev/null" boot option to get my config going
GraphicsEnabler=No seems to be required for the nVidia cards.
Hi,
Not quite a n00b as I have been building computers since the z80 days, but this is my first Hackintosh. Very happy with the build and Mac OS (10.8.3) was very stable - can even run 64 bit Windows 7 in VMWare on this box.
Yesterday I installed Skype for Mac OS on the box. I have a 2012...
I use an nVidia GTX660 OC 2Gb card (all else the same) and had a hard time starting without using the -x flag.
After a little research and playing, i found that adding the following in step 5 now avoids kernel panics on startup and allowed me to set the BIOS setting "Intel Virtualization...
