SOLVED this issue by changing my CD ROM drive. The drive I was using before was showing up as IDE HL-DT-ST CD ROM drive in my bios despite everything being changed to AHCI. Swapped the cables to another of my drives and ta-effing-da!

I was able to get past that error. I first got a sata dvd drive to replace the ide drive I used. Second I changed my bios settings on my harddrive from ide to ahci . Not sure which one of those two actions did it but nevertheless it installed. I used iBoot supported for my asus p7h55-m, core...
AGH! I'm having the same problem, very frustrating. I'm running a P7H55-M, i7 860 and a nivdia geforce 9500 gt video card. Were you ever able to get past this error?
