Hey man! Could you please, run the command below in terminal and post the output here? kextstat | grep -v com.apple I'm curious what could be different in your case.

    Need Help with 10.14.5 Update

Oh, I see. That makes sense. :) Well, if you don't have any dedicated kext for this in L/E...then it's probably not the kexts that make it work for you. It's probably just the fact that it's a different manufacturer (with a different ROM)

    macOS 10.14.5 Update

Yeah, I hope this can be fixed by WEG or a kext or something. As for the flashing, actually no, I mean a real white flash just before second stage boot. It's sometimes only on the bottom part of the screen, sometimes more, and sometimes (and this is the most intriguing part), not at all. There...

    Need Help with 10.14.5 Update

Thank you very much for the EFI folder! This is quite interesting... Cause I still have the exact same issue with your EFI folder. So basically nothing from your EFI makes any difference in my case. Also, do you not need any kexts other than FakeSMC...? Cause I'm booting to a black screen...

    macOS 10.14.5 Update

They're already in my signature. :) Never got to use the information on the side bar... But I'll do that soon. In the meantime, all the information is already in my signature.

    Need Help with 10.14.5 Update

@andyxm715 But...how? This makes no sense. Which RX 580 are you using? Also, could you, please, remove private info from SMBIOS and upload your EFI folder so we can compare? Are you connected via DP or HDMI?

    macOS 10.14.5 Update

Lucky you! :)) Though now I'm really curious how did you manage that... Could you please, remove your private info from SMBIOS and upload your EFI folder? Something has to be different... Really weird.

    macOS 10.14.5 Update

As I said, it's not a big issue. :) Sorry if I sounded like a demanding a**hole. :)) That was definitely not my intention. Just wanted to learn more about this issue. And I was hoping that, since this issue is now gonna come up more and more often (due to the latest official update, although...

    macOS 10.14.5 Update

Anyone managed to find the cause (and maybe a fix) for the purple lines upon boot for AMD GPUs? They're not a big issue, but they're kind of annoying. Same for the flashing screen. Now there's two issues with these cards and no one seems to have found a fix for any of them.

Radeon RX 580 - Screen flashing during boot

I guess nobody found a fix for this...?

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Do you have a FreeSync monitor? I've had a Nvidia GTX 650 before. Never had such issues. Maybe it's not a big deal, but it's annoying to wake up with a selfie with flash from your monitor every time you boot up your computer. :))

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Hi guys, Any idea how to fix the screen flashing white between the first and the second stage boot (looks like it's at the end of the first stage boot...) on a Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB GPU ? Is it monitor related? Seems that it doesn't occur to everyone. Any fix for it? Video below...

    [Solved] Missing Power Nap option

What seems to have made the whole difference in this case is simply adding PluginType to ACPI. That's all. :)

FileVault and Sierra guide for noobs like me

Well, it doesn't happen with integrated GPUs... haven't checked with dedicated GPUs...since I don't have a real Mac with a dedicated Nvidia GPU at hand. It could be an Nvidia thing...I'm not saying no. But there is no way (at least on my side) to test this theory. I was thinking maybe someone...

FileVault and Sierra guide for noobs like me

Thank you very much for your reply. :) Thing is...this doesn't occur on real macs. Truth be told, I haven't tried that on a mac running a dedicated video card. But it doesn't occur on the ones running on intel GPUs. Basically the transitions between stages is smooth and there is no change in...
