Oh, I see. That makes sense. :) Well, if you don't have any dedicated kext for this in L/E...then it's probably not the kexts that make it work for you. It's probably just the fact that it's a different manufacturer (with a different ROM)

Thank you very much for the EFI folder! This is quite interesting... Cause I still have the exact same issue with your EFI folder. So basically nothing from your EFI makes any difference in my case. Also, do you not need any kexts other than FakeSMC...? Cause I'm booting to a black screen...

Anyone managed to find the cause (and maybe a fix) for the purple lines upon boot for AMD GPUs? They're not a big issue, but they're kind of annoying. Same for the flashing screen. Now there's two issues with these cards and no one seems to have found a fix for any of them.

I guess nobody found a fix for this...?

Do you have a FreeSync monitor? I've had a Nvidia GTX 650 before. Never had such issues. Maybe it's not a big deal, but it's annoying to wake up with a selfie with flash from your monitor every time you boot up your computer. :))

Hi guys, Any idea how to fix the screen flashing white between the first and the second stage boot (looks like it's at the end of the first stage boot...) on a Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB GPU ? Is it monitor related? Seems that it doesn't occur to everyone. Any fix for it? Video below...

What seems to have made the whole difference in this case is simply adding PluginType to ACPI. That's all. :)

Well, it doesn't happen with integrated GPUs... haven't checked with dedicated GPUs...since I don't have a real Mac with a dedicated Nvidia GPU at hand. It could be an Nvidia thing...I'm not saying no. But there is no way (at least on my side) to test this theory. I was thinking maybe someone...
