Finally ran the update. I get a black screen and no boot with anything plugged into the rear USB 3.0 ports. I installed the patch to my config.plist and ran USB injectall in the latest version of Multibeast and still nothing. If I unplug the USB 3.0 ports with the machine running it boots up...
Thanks, but I've tried that and this:
https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/306535-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-el-capitan-update-05042018/
It's a no go for me. I keep getting a no driver detected message and my system defaults to the Apple driver. I have tried just about every combination...
Yes, latest CUDA is updated. It tells me "no GPU detected." I have the latest Nvidia driver too. About this Mac says running on 8MB graphics. Although I am connected directly to the video card.
sudo nano /Library/Extensions/NVDAStartupWeb.kext/Contents/Info.plist shows current build number.

I ran this update to (15G20015) and for the first time had graphics issues. I tried everything and still get the CUDA preferences app saying "no GPU detected".
Yes, I already found it, installed it and still it's a no go. The CUDA is also the most recent from 1/25/18. CUDA Preferences says "no GPU detected". Not sure what is wrong as this has never been problem before.
The link for 10.11.6 (15G20015) is this:
346.03.15f13
However it still doesn't work for me. I think the CUDA driver is incompatible and I'm not sure which one I need or if it is available.
Ran the latest update. Don't see an updated driver for 10.11.6 (15G20015). Wondering if there is going to be one? Otherwise I am stuck with no driver and wonky graphics.
Thanks. I tried that link its, a no go. I should have waited to run the update. In the past the Nvidia Driver Manager always found the latest driver and updated automatically. I also tried downgrading the CUDA driver and going backwards, all the way to the 10.11 beta, but still nothing...
I ran the latest update for El Capitan. Thought it would not affect video since it was iTunes, Safari and security. Now I have to run the glitchy MacOs driver for video. In the past the Nvidia driver update software detected it and automatically installed the new driver. Did I mess something up...
Upgraded directly from El Capitan 10.11.6 to High Sierra.
Cloned a new SSD using Carbon Copy Cloner. Could not get the clone to boot. After a some time of pulling my hair out for a while I stumbled on changing the boot order in the BIOS. After that the entire update took less than 30 minutes...
Thank you.
Like I said, I have been out of it for a while. When I switched to Clover everything seemed to work much easier e.g., iMessage, sleep/wake, etc. Has Unibeast and Multibeast changed that much that so I don't need to jump through hoops to make things work?
So a clean install may be...
I have been out of the Hackintosh loop for a while. I skipped Sierra. My Hack has always handled direct updates of El Capitan through the Mac App Store using Clover just like a real Mac. I read here that update from El Cap to Sierra was possible the same way.
Will I be able to update directly...
