    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Thanks for the response @NCMacGuy and @CaseySJ ! I got it working. I had forgotten to give it a cold boot after the upgrade. Using a second monitor I could see the TB bus was connecting to the monitor but I couldn't get it to actually start. The cold reboot go the "hot" plugin to work...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

BT has also been finickey for me, especially around sleep... and I suspect its the culprit for some intermittent instability. On a somewhat related note, I had Apple Thunderbolt monitor working on Z390 Aorus Pro with a flashed GC-Titan Ridge AIC. Today I finally updated from Catalina to...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hey gang, I'm in way over my head here, but I have successfully flashed the GB-Titan Ridge card and have an Apple TB display sort of working, but only with a cold and blind boot. I'm using an Aourus Pro Wi-fi (with the wifi disabled). The Apple TB display is beautiful, but I can't figure out...

PowerMac G5 Case Modding Project - mATX & ATX Conversion - Barebones - Mac Pro Alternative

Any luck with those cable specs? (wise-rise?) . I'm fully going for it, but am waiting for receipt of the server PSU and atx mobo before trying to find the conversion cables. Its my very first build, but have been so inspired by this thread: e.g. Leaving the PSU unit in place and minimal...

    << Solved >> [macOS 10.15.0] Thinkpad X1 Extreme Hackintosh

The I2C is unlikely to ever work for the trackpad since its works over the SMbus in this machine. There is a project (voodooSMBus: https://github.com/leo-labs/VoodooSMBus ) which ports the voodooI2C work to the SM like the i2c linux drivers do. I have not experimented with it. Please report if...

    [HELP!/ADVICE] Mojave 10.14.6 freeze

UPDATE: Following the most recent freeze the machine lost the ability to boot. The kextcache became corrupted somehow ?!? By booting into an installer USB I was able to repair the kextcache. I also ran first aid from Disk Utility which fixed quite a number of errors. The kextcache rebuild...

    [HELP!/ADVICE] Mojave 10.14.6 freeze

Hello everyone. Really looking for some help here. Even if its just orienting to a strategy or thread my searching couldn't uncover about how to load the debug kexts and troubleshoot. thanks

    [HELP!/ADVICE] Mojave 10.14.6 freeze

Hi Everyone, I think that this issue crept up after the 10.14.6 update. The machine is overall fairly stable and the DSDT / kexts boot into either Mojave or Catalina (latest beta)... However something is not quite right, and my machine will occasionally freeze. OTHER ISSUES: Audio, WiFi, and...

Mojave re-install from recovery won't boot

In case anyone is following here (hi @Errrneist !) I have resolved the issue. The bios update wasn’t the issue... Because the hackintool kext tools hang (seems like a known issue) I used kextbeast and apparently had errant kext on the desktop and accidentally installed the VirtualSMC kext to...

Mojave re-install from recovery won't boot

Thanks! Secure boot is definitely OFF. I've tried some of your repos, but I'll try that one specifically, and report back how it goes. At this point I'm trying to re-install. -A

Mojave re-install from recovery won't boot

Hi, I previously had a working install on my ThinkPad X1 Extreme, thanks to following the great work of @Errrneist Zysuper and others. Some kext cache issues and [possibly] a BIOS update killed its ability to boot. I think I successfully re-installed (without wiping the partition) but it still...

    << Solved >> [macOS 10.15.0] Thinkpad X1 Extreme Hackintosh

Thanks @matryska . Unfortunately, the BIOS.aml needs to be patched before it will boot... and the USB Clover will also not boot. I think maybe I had a corrupt kext cache as well (via hackintool kext tool failure).. (but trying to boot without the caches also fails.). Hopefully I'll have time...

    << Solved >> [macOS 10.15.0] Thinkpad X1 Extreme Hackintosh

Yes, I was afraid of that. I've been trying to figure out how to do this in linux.. extracting is easy, but I had done patching with MacIasl, so I'm struggling with how to patch/compile in linux... any pointers?

    << Solved >> [macOS 10.15.0] Thinkpad X1 Extreme Hackintosh

I was also lazy and had been using your/ Zysuper's DSDT... Unfortunately I updated the "BIOS" to 1.21 via windows without really thinking, and now I'm having problems. Can't get the OS to boot at all.. ANybody else try to update the lenovo uefi version? Also, any advice for an English speaker...

    Bcm94352z | dw1560 causes Windows 10 Lockup / Freeze

I can confirm that for my Lenovo X1 extreme that the solutions discussed here (the trick of turning off the Wake on Magic Packet and Wake on Pattern Match) do NOT work to solve the windows problem with the DW1560. Anyone have luck on a non-Dell motherboard? thanks!
