This is not going to be of any help I'm afraid.
Yes, I did resolve my problem. Following the post above I updated OpenCore to 0.7.7 and disabled TRIM. The number of kernel panics reduced, but they were still regular.
I therefore replaced the Samsung EVO SSDs with a single WD Black 750 1TB SSD...
I appreciate questions regarding NVME SSDs are common, but I've struggled to find an answer to this particular problem.
My system has been stable since May 2021 (last time I modified the EFI) with frequent uptime over 1 month. However at some point in December it became unstable with the...
I have recently upgraded my Hackintosh to Open Core 0.6.6 and Big Sur 11.2.3
It is rock solid with two exceptions:
1) Photo Stream will not sync (happy to ignore this for the moment)
2) It will not sleep beyond 30 minutes
My first attempt with Open Core resulted in regular kernel panics soon...
Yes, we have an identical problem.
I’ve spent a lot of time trying different BIOS settings but nothing seems to make any difference.
Currently trying to get Asus to tell me if I can revert to a previous BIOS version. Apparently you can use CrashFree BIOS 3 to revert, but I cannot identify how...
I’m not an expert at this, but my feeling is the freeze is so early in the boot process that it’s nothing to do with the installer - I say this because I know my installer is valid and I have the same results from an installed instance of the OS. I’m certain it’s a hardware issue, or more...
Hi guys. Can I ask you all what version of the BIOS you have on your H370-I boards? I have recently upgraded mine to 2012 and cannot boot the USB installer or previously installed Mac OS. I have another thread open for the issue but want to try and confirm if anyone is using version 2012 - if...
I
I wish it were that easy, or that I’m just being stupid.
I have downloaded all of the old versions from the Asus website. Selecting any other than 2012 result in a message stating it is not a valid BIOS. I can repeatedly apply 2012 though. The manual suggests you cannot downgrade versions...
I’m going to be watching this thread with interest. You have exactly the same problem as me, with virtually identical verbose output. Only differerece is that you have a completely different motherboard.
My post...
cmn699, thanks for your input. I appreciate your time.
I have updated the file tree, VariablesCsrActiveConfig and SMBIOS name as per your suggestion. Lili, WhateverGreen, AppleALC and XHCI-unsupported all copied to kexts/Other.
Still a very similar problems persists. Photo attached. (NVMe and...
I have just attempted to boot with:
The Broadcom card remove
Both Samsung 970 EVO cards removed
It crashes or stalls in approx the same place, but with no messages re NVMe so I guess it is safe to rule them out.
Interesting message re nvram available. Thoughts?
Desperately hoping someone can help.
Setup:
Asus H370-I motherboard
Intel i7-9700K
Samsung 970 EVO 1TB (Mojave)
Samsung 970 EVO 512GB (Windows 10)
Corsair DDR4 3000
Sapphire Pulse RX580
Broadcom WiFI card from old Mac
I have previously installed Mojave and Windows on this setup; all went...
Having read a lot of threads on the site regarding Broadcom WiFi cards, I’m still a little lost so hope someone could point me in the right direction.
I’m building a Hackintosh with an ASUS Rog Strix H370-I board.
I’m choosing parts to maximise compatibility while using the most modern parts...
