Yeah, but that's not a solution.
a few guys were able to fix it, in this thread, on iMacs.
So there should be a solution for a MacBook too.
Buying a chip, with another serial number, is my last resort...
Ok, I faced the same thing on my MacBook Pro 13.
Wanted to reinstall macOS, and by mistake used a clover flash drive, while booting my macbook.
Now, it just keeps chime looping.
Tried to detach the screen, but that didn't helped either.
Smooth update, to supplement update.
Everything is working, including sound.
I decided to change my gtx580, to r9 270x(thnx god a had a spare one).
And now, I have zero problems.
I tried to fix the issue I had with gtx 580, 4 days... and no luck.
So eventually I gave up.
I still have this problem...
no matter what I do...
IOConsoleUsers: time(0) 0->0, lin 0, llk 1,
IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0
I even tried a clean install, did everything from updated post number 2... and no luck...
Whenever I put my gtx 580 back, I have this...
Ok, so I tried following the guide.
At the beginning everything looked fine.
I choose the install Mac partition.
But once it finishes, all I see is grey screen.
And nothing happens, I tried to hard reboot, and went through the same route, but same result.
I was then able to boot to my old...
Im a little bit lost.
So can I update to High Sierra from Sierra, using the guide from tonymac?
Its says multibeast doesn't support apfs.
