After applying audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0d 2.command you will get a log. Just post it here. Some versions of the audio_cloverALC-120_*.command missing a "sudo" in script. BTW, EFI partition needs to be mounted in order to apply this patch.

You need an untouched AppleHDA.kext and CsrActiveConfig set either to 0x67 or 0x3. 0x0 will prohibit to load the sound patch. Attached you will find the command I used for Audio. It still works on 10.12.4. Btw. I mostly use sound over bluetooth connecting all macs to an audio rack.
