I did try this, and get a failed boot as well. At this point, I'm just looking for the right approach.
Should I go through framebuffer patching tutorials? Has anyone successfully got Big Sur to boot on iGPU while a dGPU is attached and enabled in BIOS?

I completed my first hackintosh build and it all works pretty well (thanks for the fantastic guides). My one pet peeve about it is the wake-from-sleep takes 11 seconds. I'm not sure if this is just what to expect from a hackintosh or if I've misconfigured something.
