    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Yeah, so I've tried moving to VirtualSMC - can't get it to work. Followed the instructions, removing the file in drivers, adding the new one for VirtualSMC, removing the kext and adding the new ones. The system just won't boot with it But that aside, I've narrowed the issue down to the...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Pretty strange issue which I cant see addressed anywhere. I have pretty much the same build as you - i bought the same hardware except a VEGA64 (GTX2080ti in disabled slot) and a 9900K. So far everything is perfect ...except. If i install istat menu or i use hwmonitor (fakesmc) then if i click...

GTX 1060 performance on 10.13 High Sierra

Not sure if the PCI thing is a red herring - i dont get anything listed in PCI with GTX cards or any AMD cards so far (580 or vega 64)

GTX 1060 performance on 10.13 High Sierra

Not convinced, i had a hackintosh for a while before i noticed this. It started when i added multiple screens i noticed the slight pause when moving windows. Went back to single screen, and i still noticed it - convinced it was there before, but its all about how perceptive you are to those...

GTX 1060 performance on 10.13 High Sierra

To give you an idea on what ive tried. System is 6600K, Z170a MSI board, 2TB NVME SSD, 1080ti Ran this system with 10.12.various - 100% fine. Ran this system with 10.13.2 - all the issues being talked about in this thread. Ran this system with 10.13.2 - with a RX580 - no issues Ran this system...

GTX 1060 performance on 10.13 High Sierra

Haha nah what i mean is, i've been having the same issues with a GTX 1080ti as the people in this thread. It's not a 1060 problem, i believe (people seem to agree) its a 10.13.X + Nvidia Driver issue.

GTX 1060 performance on 10.13 High Sierra

I swapped out my GTX1080ti running 10.13.2 for a VEGA 64 air cooled. Added whatevergreen and it worked out of the box. I dont seem to have any fan issues.. though its inside a box so i dont hear it even if it spins at full speed. All of the 'weird' Nvidia issues are gone ... 10.13 feels like a...

GTX 1060 performance on 10.13 High Sierra

Does anyone have contacts within Nvidia we can refer this too ? it seems like its an nividia related issue, surely they must know ? be able to fix ? care ? anything ?

GTX 1060 performance on 10.13 High Sierra

So people having issues ... are you using multiple screens ? if so, tried to see if the performance issues are still there with 1 ? I use 3 screens, going to test with just the one i think.

    [Solved] I broke my hackintosh!

It might be worth pressing space on clover boot, picking verbose boot and seeing what its sticking on.

    MSI Z170a M5 // 6700k // Gtx 1080ti - 3 screen issue

Ok so an update on this one. It seems to be fixed - but i'm not sure why. I disconnected all screens, and plugged my center screen (main one) into the left GPU port. powered hack on, booted into macOS. shut down, connected other two screens Booted ... bios picked center screen to display, went...
