yeah, same SSDT posted here. I'm not sure if anyone posted a Z97 SSDT, but if you need to make one for your Z97 board its not too hard using hackintool. follow the instructions inside hackintool in the USB section. use a USB2/3 hub for easy testing of ports.
I've got almost the same build as yours, couple suggestions:
- Why iMac18,3? That's Kaby Lake (7-series). iMac 19,1 has 9900K and RX 580 which might be a better fit
- Why disable iGPU in BIOS? You'll need it for QuickSync acceleration and QuickLook previews. AFAIK only using iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS is...
My firmware appears to be loading properly with the latest BrcmPatchRAM though.
I tried a BCM94350ZAE (the 08PK4 one) today. bluetooth is the same (wont connect to anything), wifi was slightly better in that it saw all available networks, but i got 30mb/s max download speed. i get full 200...
I think the firmware injection is somehow messing with the card, as it seems when I completely unplug from power things go back to normal. Is that resetting the firmware?
I now have bluetooth and wifi both showing up natively (only have BluetoothInjector.kext in C/K/O), but working very poorly...
off the top of my head, that actually looks fine (the screenshot)
triple check your antennas would be my only guess. otherwise a hardware issue? i've tried 3-4 of these cards on different builds and they all worked flawlessly.
old post, but make sure you have the 2nd antenna wire (the one in the middle) connected, thats the one that BT uses. I had those same headphones connected no problems once i connected the middle antenna wire.
For some reason my card stopped being identified at all - couldnt find it in hackintool PCI section and IOReg. But BT still worked. very strange.
I had a identical second card (bought 2 just in case) and tried that. removed all kexts and patches and wifi worked again immediately on startup...
I saw in another thread you had BCM94356xxx
did you ever get that working?
i have
BCM94356ZEPA50DX_2
other posts on the internet say BCM94356xxx is not compatible, but my bluetooth works great using only BRCMPatchRam, bluetooth injector etc. kexts and nothing else. My wifi doesnt work though...
The guide was still very helpful! And thankyou again for creating it. I used it too, but the hackintool help pushed me across the finish line. :)
I think this is the issue - for me this is not true.
for example, using no excludes, i have HS devices that incorrectly show up in hackintool on...
thanks for the guide, however i had much better luck just following the steps listed in Hackintool in the USB section help.
the reasons why:
I needed to run 2 passes, one with uia_exclude on my SS ports, and one for my HS ports (as listed in the Hackintool help steps).
Also it wasn't 100%...
for anyone searching this topic: looks like 2560x1440p hidpi is available on iGPUs now if you have UHD630 and latest lilu/whatevergreen and latest clover. no device injection needed. tested with: i3-8100 and i5-9400
9900k + iGPU i'd do imac19,2. many people report better power management. i'm running imac19,1 on both my gigabyte z370n-8700k and this asrock z390 PG/i5 9400 and both work great, iGPUs recognized and working. both have dGPUs though, 19,2 should in theory be better for iGPU
you're right. the AsRock bios is a little confusing, theres an additional option at the bottom that will disable the iGPU if a dGPU is present. I had to switch that and my i5-9400 igpu was recognized fine without any need to specify framebuffer :)
no need to do this, AsRock already has MSR...
