I tried to update my 8300 SFF w/ i7-3770K to 14.1.2 and installation went through fine, but now unable to boot up, Here is the video of the error and attached is my EFI..
UDB, Here is what I find in Dortina's GPU guideline. My config has ig-platform-id is set as 0300923E. Am I missing something?
Regarding USB mapping, this is exactly what I've done..
UDB, FT,
Rebuilt the USBPorts. I couldn't identify the USB3.1 or USB-C ports, as I don't have any of those storage devices. Attached are my EFI, Screenshots booting to BigSur. I see many error regarding ACPI errors, unable to initialize PXSX, _INJ; Error in Lili, VirtualSMC etc.
Here is the...
Oopsie.. I meant to say amls, not kexts. The BigSur was installed with SSDT-GPRW.aml and SSDT-PR00.aml. Now I'm using SSDT-EC-USBX-DESKTOP.aml, SSDT-PMC.aml, SSDT-AWAC.aml and SSDT-PLUG-DRTNIA.aml - based on OC documentation.
My board user Killer Ethernet E2500 and thats Atheros. Including...
Big Sur was installed using a different (may be custom) set of kexts and after that, I've cleaned up to use standard kexts and using the current EFI to install. Could that be the reason for duplicate RP05.PXSX?
Attached my current EFI.
You can view the video in slower speed by changing the "Play back Speed" of the video under video "Setting"
Installer is from macOS "Software Update" Installer is 12.95G in size.
Thank you UDB.. Should I try installing USBMap.kext, but keep the USBInjectAll?
UDB and Ed, I downoaded from the Software update utility on the same machine and installing directly. I'll try to start reinstalling again and see how it goes..
I just did and it makes no difference - Boots successfully to Big Sur, but fails to continue upgrade to Sonoma..
Do you think this could result in KP during installation? I thought this is more of a PostInstall step.. I'll def get to fixing it, but not right now if it is not a priority..
I decided to proceed with dGPU. Its working perfectly on Big Sur.
VT-d is disabled.
I've adapted to standard kexts, except for USBMap.kext. Enabling or disabling NVMeFix.kext doesn't make a difference.
I've verified that all the suggestions by Dortina's Coffee Lake settings are in place and...
This is on Big Sur - I didn't set the id before, it was 0300923E. I changed it now and it makes no difference - it sill boots with dGPU :( When I use -wegnoegpu it gets stuck on Apple Start logo with progress bar. When I remove the power to RX570, it doe KP.. I'm not too keen on going iGPU, but...
I disabled it still no luck..
Since I 've RX570, I tried to diable it, but no luck there as well:
I tried to boot w/ iGPU using -wegnoegpu it goes in to KP, I tried -amd_no_dgpu_accel it doesn't boot.
