Still trying to see if I can get my rig running more smoothly. Here is a copy of my current or OLD EFI and here is a new one I am working on. Can anyone take a look and let me know if you think it's good for me to just drop in and replace the old one.
I need help with my system. Or, maybe I am wrong, but it seems like it shouldn't be running like this. All I have done is imported footage into final cut and it is transcoding. Both the GPU and CPU fans have spun up and this is what activity monitor looks like.
Here are screen shots of...
Maybe I am wrong, but I feel like my system must need to configuration work. I am trying to import footage for a video clip I am working on. I have not even started editing yet. After finishing importing and naming all the clips, final cut begins transcoding. My fans on the GPU and CPU are...
I was able to fix it by building a new thumbdrive with Open Core Following the mini guide, and using that new thumbdrive to boot. Then I saved my old config.plist, and copied the serial numbers and saved the new thumbdrive config.plist to my computer's EFI Folder and replaced the new numbers...
How can I get into the OS to edit that Plist when it keeps freezing every reboot. It's trying to open everything that was open before I edited. I checked the box to reopen windows upon the next reboot.
Is this fixable from my laptop, because I can get into the OS with my USB drive? But It is trying to open every window that was open before I made these changes, I checked the box on shutting down so it would take me back to all my open tabs in Chrome. And now, within about 15 seconds of...
I reset NVRAM, I have CFG Lock set with value 0. That should be correct, right? Also, How do I add -v in open core. Sorry for the newb question.
I am at this screen.
I replaced the intelmausiethernet.kext with the intelmausi.kext and disabled the SSDT-USBW and USBWakeFixup.kext as stated and resaved my config.plist with opencore and I am still getting the white apple logo with no progress bar. What else can I look at. I am also not able to get into the OS...
@CaseySJ This is what my EFI Partition looks like right now. I use the Config-amd-gpu.plist that was in the OC Disgnare zip folder. The only things I edited from that plist file were the Serial, UUID etc numbers by matching anything I found in my previous config.plist file in the Clover built EFI.
The frozen apple happens when booting from open core.
The successful boot happens with a USB made using clover, and without using Unibeast. I think that’s a vanilla install, but I’m not sure.
