macOS 11.6.3 Update

Today Apple released macOS 11.6.3 Update, a major software update to macOS Big Sur. Update any supported system using the built-in Software Update functionality through the macOS System Preferences pane.

​

What we know about the 11.6.3 Update so far...

• macOS Build 20G415
• Updated graphics, audio drivers
• Install macOS Big Sur App has been updated - If you downloaded macOS Big Sur from the App Store prior to today, and you want to have the latest version on your backup installer USB, simply log into the Mac App Store and click Download. The updated Install macOS Big Sur App can be found in the Applications folder.

There is also a Safari 15.3 update for Big Sur, that was released today.





This was my iMac1 system, simple download, rebooted a few times and I logged in to 11.6.3 about 25 minutes after stating the installation.

I did't time it exactly but think it took somewhere around 20 minutes.

OpenCore 0.7.0 presently. Nothing updated. Same kexts.

Installed from Software Update, took around 20-mins with three reboots:
