Thank you xcaret for you're W530 EFI and Rehabman for the Voodoo hint. Sound is now working with Voddoo 2.7.3, except mic

DSDT patching is very interessting but to hard  i dont know where to start. I've found some code here and there, but i dont know nothing about that

I will try to manage that. BTW, i could not find a good tutorial for DSDT Patching. (for dumpies like me) :D

Thank you anyway...

Hi again,

after searching the whole web i found a kext for ALC3202 and a DSDT.aml

the question is... which data in the DSDT i have to copy, there are many letters :D ... HDEF?

Hope for help...

ok, Thank you... i will give it a try :)

Hello Rehabman :)

no im not away and i'll never giv up.

After figuring out how to edit and compile the DSDT.aml, and getting my own codec dump :) im here with new questions, becaus it has not worked until yet. Patching ApplesHDA by my self i dont tryed yet. But i found (think so) a 100% matching AppleHDA patched.

1. i'm using Clover to boot. is it correct to edit the dsdt.aml in the folder EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/PATCHED
(Clover boots that file insted of the OS X DSDT?)

2. the patched AppleHDA.kext can be in the folder kexts under EFI/CLOVER/
(the kexts in this folder will be loaded insted of Apples in the folder S/L/E)
(or is it a must to copy the AppleHDA.kext in in S/L/E folder)

3. in your repo i see the irq fix. where is the place in the DSDT for that code?
(and why there these "\n" and words like "begin" and "end" in your code. because of the compiler you use?)

Greets and nice day
And thank you for helping.

2. AppleHDA does not work from Clover/kexts. It must be installed to /S/L/E.

3. See answer #1 for AppleHDA DSDT patching specifics.

You can't properly hackintosh without learning about it...

Hi. Now learning more :)

I just testet to get PM to work. I used DPCI Manager to check what's in your tutorial.
P-States is always showing : P State 12

As i can see the battery goes down very fast, so i think there is no PowerManagement on my W530.

But in the Clover Partition there is a Patched AppleIntelCPU....kext

Can anyone (Rehabmen ) point me to the right direction, on getting this to work?

Thank you.
