I had the same issue but i fixed it with the alc892 drivers patched by multibeast v6.1.0 (mavericks version) on yosemite

Thanks Noisemaker, that worked for me also when I was using Multibeast. This guide was intended for those of us who have migrated to Clover but useful feedback nonetheless

Thanks, Rickmywirry. Worked for me on 889. Was getting random reboots with no kp using iMac 12,2 on Yosemite and switching to MacPro 3,1 solved it but broke audio on wake. Now it all seems to work.

Thanks for the guide, Rickmywirry!
Am I correct to assume that there's a reason to putting CodecCommander.kext in S/L/E as opposed to EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10 (when using clover, obviously)? I tried both, and only the S/L/E way worked

Glad it helped, however, I can't answer your question, still a beginner myself! I made the guide after getting help in the "other" forum from the author of Codec Commander. His username there is TimeWalker75a if you need more detailed info.

Best reason, it works.
Only code that executes during boot can be in EFI/CLOVER. The reason Codec Commander solves the no sound after sleep problem is that is executes after boot; install in S/L/E.

On my repo there is a much updated CodecCommander which will automatically attach to your IOAudioDevice. So plist editing should rarely be needed.

I expect rehabman / dolnor to merge the changes upstream sometime soon.

Where?
What is your "repo?"

Hello
I am new to Clover and I just used Rick's audio method by running the shell file. It worked! But I have a problem where the audio works perfectly, but after sleep when I use audio, every 30 seconds there's a stutter in the audio. I tried to use the method Rick explained in post #4 but it did not solve the problem I had. One other thing I noticed was when I clicked on the kext, the three lines of code I added as part of the last step was removed no matter what I did. Is that normal? I am using Plisteditpro. I am going to try the dark voids codec and see if that works but does anyone else have a problem with stuttering audio?
