Hi all,
I'm looking for a solution for the AR5B22 chip on the mini-PCI provided with the GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP5 TH mono.
I've tried to get Bluetooth by using Middleman's link posted here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...2-multibeast-5-2-a-post545681.html#post545681

I've got my beast to recognise the Bluetooth card but it won't discover any of my current devices (MagicMouse, MagicTrackpad), so that's as far as I've gone.

Any ideas, news or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

are you connected USB port to board

I know this is an old thread. I use the WB300D that came with my UD5H-WB. It uses the AR5B22 chipset.

After doing a fresh install of OS X and pulling the card out during install, bluetooth stopped being able to discover. After fighting with it for a while, I figured a quick solution.

It seems the card hibernates somehow and needs to be woken up. OS X can't seem to do it. Just boot into your windows partition where you have the drivers installed and the card is functioning. Just test to see that it can discover things. then boot up in your OS X install again.. Discovering should be working again.

Weird glitch.

Hello. I have an AR9462 as well that cannot connect to bluetooth devices and I no longer have windows installed. Did you find any other workarounds that didn't involve windows? Thanks.

Install Windows to see if you need a bluetooth firmware uploader. If you do, search for one. Note: I don't think there exists a good firmware uploader for this chip. There is no interest in creating one since the WiFi chip is not supported.
