I updated my screen 1080ps AUO17ED however struggling with color profile. I don't like the reddish screen so I was wondering if anyone could provide me 1366x786 original profile which I'm used to. Anyone with normal screen for 4540s can you please provide me your original windows color profile as well as OS X profile?

OSX profile is ok but i don't really like windows profile (too much reddish for me).

You can calibrate display in both Windows and OS X.

I did but still its pretty hard to have the same old colors my eyes were used to. :( Can some volunteer please care to share your profile with me?

Buy calibrator and calibrate your screen;)

I think I did not put the cable correctly or the cable is damaged from the hinge side. Look at the screenshot, when I tilt the screen down, it turns pink/reddish and when tilting up make its more white (plus sort of reddish too)

Waiting for opinions, i will also try to test it with external monitor. IMG_1388.JPGIMG_1389.JPG

I changed the cable and made sure it connects properly. And without assembling back the laptop, I tried turning on the laptop and the result is same! Can anybody please shed a light on it. Is it cable issue or the screen issue.

Regards,

One or the other... No way to know unless you swap the cable and/or screen.

Reading over the internet and 1080p 4540s screen replacement thread suggest that it is likely that this pinkish behavior is because of the cable , but both pieces of cable are faulty... :O

Sadly can't do anything unless new cables arrived...will check current cables with old lcd to check the result at least.

The old LCD will only test one link of the dual-link cable. Best to get another cable, so you can compare. Since it is unlikely you'll get a another bad cable, if you still have the problem after swapping the cable, it is either a screen problem or motherboard problem.

Ordered new cable, open dispute to both cable and lcd seller LOL. I guess at least more wait to experience 1080p...
