@Loginfailed

Thanks for great guide.

Are you still on Maverick?
When I tried to edit IOPlatform and AGPM for my card, and smbios, it will cause panic with edited kext on Yosemite.

Yes this machine is running with Yosimite installed. I used the upgrade method described elsewhere on the forum, not a clean install. After the upgrade, I used same methods as in my build description for modifications to work with my hardware.

If you have problems, start over from a working and known good backup or start from a clean install. Always backup any file or .kext you intend to modify. And only do one thing at a time to take guesswork out of which thing caused what. Once you have things working as desired, always clone the system to another hard drive that you don't need so that you can get yourself out of a jam if you foul something up.

do you using plist editor could cause the problem not using xcode?
I was successful loading edited ioplatformpluginfamily.kext and then i edited AGPM and loaded and reboot. It will panic right before reaching desktop then reboot.

I do not know if using different editors will cause issues.

It sounds like maybe you are not using the correct profile when editing AGPM. I don't know the correct one to use for your 6870. I have only used this process for my 650Ti. Sounds like you need to do some more research to find out what's causing your KP. Or just leave AGPM alone.

Try to find someone using a 6870 who has edited AGPM and see how they did it.

please someone have a patched bios for asus p8z77-m?

Try this one. No guarantees and I'm not responsible if you broke your motherboard. UEFI flashing is serious business.

I upgrade the motherboard bios to the latest version. Can I flash it with your .CAP file? or it will brake?

Thank you so much for the answer!

I have my hackintosh with chameleon...will it work better with clover? or just are the same things in each way? I ask this, because I do not understand how to configure clover for my motherboard and maybe the change worth it

I've never used clover with the P8Z77 but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Clover is a much better bootloader. If I were setting up this machine again I would definitely be using Clover, not Chameleon. My 3 current builds are all using Clover with no issues.

Can you help me with the settings?
