Try putting in EFI partition and remove in /S/L/E again. You may need to rebuild cache and restart a few times to make it work.

This can be fixed by using ForceKextsToLoad (IONetworkingFamily)

For me at least, Ethernet is not really important, so that kext remained in EFI partition for two weeks, during which time kext cache was rebuilt and system restarted multiple times without effect. I do not know what's going on with that kext.

So for G2:
- Network kext should be in S/L/E
- darkwake=0 is a must.

Anything else should be modified for new PBI CE?

Well, you made me think. After I wrote about it a while ago, I deleted all RealtekRTL8111.kext that I found in my system, reinstalled PBI, rebuilt kernel caches...I finally the kext is being loaded from EFI partition :(

Yes, definitely. Without it the system has the known auto-restart-after-sleep issue. As a side effect, system ignores it, wakes every now and then, looks for emails, etc, and goes back to sleep, draining battery stupidly. But that's a problem even real-mac-owners have.

Probably, I'll confirm when proved.

The function to wake to check email only works if you enable an option in System Preferences > Energy Saver.

Nope, I have "Power Nap" disabled in System Preferences > Energy Saver, it's a Yosemite's known problem, even in real macs. Apple's support is being flooded with complaints about it

I don't have this problem, how do you observe it?

See post #21.

As I said, computer wakes up every two hours or so and goes back to sleep. There is an option in clover installer to disable the culprit service, but it has the side effect of(on rare occasions) leaving the computer unable to boot when restarting till to you shut it down by pressing the power button.
