Hi all,

I used Unibeast to install Yosemite, it worked like a charm on my old PC (Using Gigabyte Z77 and 3570K, onboard graphic)
But when i try to install on my new PC (Using MSI Z87 MPower, Pentium G3258 and onboard graphic), it can't boot to setup screen. I've got restart all the time.

Here is my problem, can you help me?

I'm 99% certain that cpu {Pentium G3258} is not supported. Might work if you add a Graphics card...

EDIT: Posted by Rehabman - "Mavericks does not support the Haswell Pentiums or Haswell Celerons. Only Core i-series."

Hi kduvernay,

I changed to Intel Core i5-4460 and still got same problem =[

And what boot flags have you tried? Did you read the Guide?

"If you have trouble reaching the installer, type -x at the Boot screen as shown below. You can type the boot flags GraphicsEnabler=Yes, PCIRootUID=1, maxmem=4096, maxmem=8192, and npci=0x2000 by themselves or together in order to solve boot issues for older graphics cards and machines. Type -v to bypass the Apple boot screen and enter verbose startup mode. X58 and X79 systems always need npci=0x2000. For further explanations of boot flags, check out the post here. Also, if you need help with what to use for your graphics card, see the post here."

Same applies to first boot...

Hi,

I am having a similar issue. Is there any way to get more specific info from the boot process, such as where it failed?

I built two machines that like those mentioned in the buyer's guide section:

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H
Intel i5-4590

and

Asus H97-Plus
Intel i5-4590

I installed Windows 8.1 as a way of testing both hardware. The primary subsystems like video and networking operate very well for over one week.

I built the 10.10 version UniBeast. Booting appears to hang after about 1 minute. Same behavior on both hardware.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
:D

PS: just seeing the prior post after I completed editing my post. Thx for that info.
And forgive me for apparently hijacking a thread. I thought it was a thread about
not getting to Yosemite startup screen, but alas, it is hardware specific thread.
In any event, any additional debugging tips (urls are fine) would be so appreciated.

Hi kduvernay,

I tried all flag, so so so many flag, but nothing new happened.

I find out that I maybe need patch my BIOS using UEFIPatch, but I don't know how to patch it.
Can you tell me how to do that?

I'm having exactly the same problem as you, but I got a MSI Z87-GD65 and a i7-4770k processor.
I will wait for more replies here.

Edit: I fixed this issue by flashing my bios.
