I have installed Yosemite and I boot OK with nv_disable=1 , installed Nvidia web drivers and then I try:

a) nvda_drv=1 => gives me black screen
b) kext-dev-mode=1 => boots up to the point "Starting GForce Sensors" , it retries 2-3 times and when I see the message Chip Detected everything is stuck and I have to power off the PC. :banghead:

I have an Asus 750Ti and the monitor is connected to the DVI port.

Any ideas?

yes try and use VGA or DVI-I (analogue)

I have the Palit GTX 750 Ti StormX OC and its running perfectly.

I'll start at the beginning. When installing Yosemite use the boot option nv_disable=1

Download and install
http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/78853/en-us

Once installed top right of the menubar you should see the Nvidia Device Manager. Click it and select NVIDIA web driver. Then reboot and it should work

(Now for me when I rebooted it didn't work so I used nv_disable=1 again during boot once back in it was still selecting the OSX driver in the NVIDIA Device panel so I reselected the NVIDIA driver again rebooted then it worked)

Good luck!

I just bought the Palit GTX 750 ti StormX OC version. Anyone with this card here? I had a great experience with the GTX 650, looks like this one will take a bit more tinkering to get it working?
I am running Yosemite 10.10.

Would really love to hear from someone that has this card and how they got it working. At the moment I still have the GTX 650 in the rig. It works just like a native card without any boot flags and with the Yosemite native driver.

Just got it. This is what I did. I updated to OS X 10.10.1 and while having the GTX 650 still in the rig I installed the new nvidia web drivers for 10.10.1
After rebooting I made sure that the nvidia web drivers were active. I then shut down and swapped the card to the GTX 750 ti. I switched the rig on with the new card in and straight away I had the feeling I was going to have problems as it kept reaching the apple logo, the progress bar appeared and rebooted.

It went like this 3 times and then it finally went through and continued booting.

After I made sure that everything was working and did a few benchmarks with heaven and others it was time to take on windows. I did not think that I would have any problems with that and this was the case.

One odd thing I noticed was when I was at the boot options. A new option has appeared as the priority boot option and it named itself as Mac OS X.

Does anyone have that?

The machine runs really well with the new card. I did not think it would be this easy
