I updated the WiFi/Bluetooth card in my 2011 MacBook Pro, to what appears to be the same one discussed in this thread, and a Kext change later I can hand off from my iPad to my Laptop. So the card works just don't know if it works with a Hackintosh.

Nickpook - Which card did you use for your MBP and where did you get it? I also have a 2011 MBP (13-inch, Early 2011) and was searching for a replacement WiFi/BT card but only have found wireless n cards so far.

I got the card from the OS Store. They seem to be out of stock right now though. It's the same one that come in the new Macbook Pros.

The card you want to get is the "BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX" that last C is important because the one that is stock is "BCM94331PCIEBT4AX". Check the card when you get it as well... I read a lot of people saying they got the same, the one without the C, as the stock card.

I did the kext file switching manually because the tool was not out yet but looking at it it seems to do the exact same thing so you should be good.

For those with a h87n-wifi motherboard and with the only pci-e slot used for a graphic card, this adapter can be used. It allows you to transform a half size mini pic-e slot to a full size mini pic-e slot.

Hmm, the Safari/Mail handoff, Airdrop are working, but seems the Phone answering function isn't working, anyone have luck making it work?

Hi guys,
i bought this card + adapter from aliexpress (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/4-an...with-bluetooth4-0-Red-Version/1895023147.html) but i have a problem with wifi.
The card works great with Mavericks and Win7 but it doesn't show any wifi networks in Yosemite. Handoff works good (apps, instant hotspot, calls,...) but i can't connect to wifi networks because it doesn't find them! Any idea?

The parts I linked earlier finally arrived, connected the card+internal adapter+4 antennas to my asrock z87e-itx and ac wifi works oob.

strange thing though: I lost bluetooth in os x!

first I thought that I possibly need a adapter with usb header for power but when I start the machine and load win7 on the 2nd ssd ac wifi AND bluetooth works just fine.
connected and pairs fine with my magic trackpad, no problem.

does anyone know how to get bluetooth back in os x (10.9.5)?
is that possibly a cache thing?
there is no bluetooth.plist in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration I could delete..

hope someone can help!

com.apple.Bluetooth.plist is located in /Library/Preferences so you were only one directory level off.
Does Bluetooth show up in your System Information?

Try resetting your network settings in Yosemite by deleting Network Preferences plist.

Alright guys, so I ordered the ~$60 combo (card + PCIe adapter) and everything's working perfectly! I did have to sign in/out of my iCloud once on my Hack in order for the Handoff/Continuity features to work perfectly, but other than that, everything's been smooth. Very nice!
