Audio - HDMI Audio AppleHDA [Guide]

So if my audio on my Motherboard doesnt work, Nvidia's wont work either.
Assuming you mean motherboard ALC audio, no. The installation of a discrete graphics card has no effect on onboard audio. To fix onboard audio, see No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA.

Nvidia HDMI audio, when enabled, works with or without motherboard audio. See Post #1.

Should I bother fixing the realtek - No Audio device problem? Or just go ahead with the Nvidia Graphics card audio guide?

Also

"Discrete Graphics (in addition to appropriate motherboard guide above)"

I need to follow the guide for my IGPU 4600 and the Nvidia Guide?

Good question. Because I do not need it as I would like HDMI audio.

I know it is a different story but Windows works with HDMI audio as onboard audio if off.

Hello again,

Earlier I mentioned that your suggestions made things work for HDMI audio and again I thank you. So I am closer to getting the audio completely working. However, audio over DisplayPort is not working yet.

As per your suggestions in your earlier reply:

1.) I ran the script ./AppleHDA8Series.sh -b AppleHDA -b AppleHDAController which gave me a new AppleHDA1150.kext

2.) I ran the script graphics_intel_hd5k-azul-c-90_patch.command from the guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/125239-hd4600-hd4000-hd3000-framebuffer-edits.html
The c version was chosen because it was the closest match to my configuration: DVI at port 0x5, HDMI at port 0x6, and DP at port 0x0.

And I did get audio over HDMI.

However, there is no audio source available for the DisplayPort option. I tried two different DP cables with the same result.

The HDMI option only appears in the sound preferences when a HDMI connection is actually there.

I have enclosed a new IORegistry Explorer report and new DCPI and System Audio screen shots. No other changes have been made to the system.
