EGVA GTX 670 card in GA-Z87X-OC keeps crashing

Hi guys. I'm a little stuck. I put in my graphics card last night in my system. All was working before that. Dual boots to mavericks and windows 8.1. Afterwards, in windows the Nvidia drivers crash every few minutes when using the card. In mavericks I get a screen flash and then it drops back to the login screen every few minutes. I'm wondering if there is a few settings I was supposed to do in bios for the card. Or any specifics for mavericks and the bootloader settings, I use clover.

Check to ensure your graphics card is being cooled. Perhaps its overheating? I know in the past I have had some cards that required a separate power connection.

I'll check but it crashed like that right away on the first boot and always every few min or when I loaded something like a Web page with pictures. I'm at work so I'll check later.
